We're both extremely lucky to have my mom's help watching A when I'm at work, working at home, etc. And also whenever we need her!
Now that we've weaned, DH has been doing bedtime solo a lot more (he's always done bath time), but as far as all day solo parent? He hasn't done since maternity/paternity leave. He'll do an afternoon or half day every once in a while. JW what the average is around the hive!

ha! never. other than 15-20 minutes at a time while I run down to the grocery store (half the time picking up something DH wants -_-) he and LO are never alone together. we're working on it. slooooowwwwwly

More frequently now, but it's very short times (less than 30 minutes). They often get home before me at the end of the day.

A few hours....until he calls his mom to help him. He does pick him up from daycare everyday so thats an hour a day.
I have a major work trip in a few months and I'm already worried if he can handle it.

3-4 evenings a week, Friday during the day and a few Saturday mornings a month. He does really well with her, but I'm interested to see how things go once LO#2 arrives! (we trade off shifts of working so we don't have to use daycare)

LOL! He tries but I don't think he would know what to do with himself. I am freaking out about when I am in hospital with DD, what he is going to do with DS!

Neither of us have to solo parent much; thankfully. He is often the one who leaves work if LO is sick, so he takes her then. A few weeks ago she was sick and didn't go into daycare so it was all-dad, all-day.
He also gets up with her every weekend and let's me sleep in, and also has her about 4 hours almost every Sunday afternoon while I do my own thing (dog rescue).

we have two so we divide and conquer. but mr bee has had both kids alone more often than i have! he takes them out while i do stuff around the house (pack, unpack, clean, etc).

Every Sunday is MY day, but that doesn't mean he's really solo. I meal plan and set out clothing and all that for DH and basically set it up for him.

almost never, meaning I can't remember the last time he had both. When we only had 1, DH did...but now that we have 2 and our younger one doesn't take a bottle well, he really can't. That said, for my birthday, I WAS able to steal away for a few hours but DH called his parents to help him.

Every Tues eve/night and just about every 3rd Sat or Sun all day. I work a weird schedule! It's been really great for helping them bond. They always do special daddy/son activities.

Like never! He's off for a week while I'm at work and I'm probably going to have my mom come over to watch the baby. LOL! He's maybe solo parented for an hour or two when I'm trying to catch extra sleep after she's been up all night.

Not very often. While I was pregnant he'd have LO outside with him all afternoon some weekends while I napped but that's really it. He's done bedtime/night alone once...while I was in the hospital having DD. He hasn't gone solo with both yet.

Not often. He will take her on an errand but never long periods of time.
PS it's my first night solo parenting while he is gone on a work trip until Thursday! Eek! Luckily she went to bed at 7 pm

Wednesdays are his day since I work all day. He usually gives me a couple hours on his days off so I can lesson plan and prep for class. He does bedtimes 2-3 nights a week when I have tutoring, so it's definitely not foreign to him.

Not often as I'm a WAHM and DH is in school full time! He did take her for about 36 hours so I could shoot an OOT wedding and they could attend a wedding in town. It's more of a hassle because I'm still BFing, so I had to pump the whole time. I also realized that he hadn't really watched her without me in a while so he wasn't up on her solid food needs!

Every day. He stays at home (for now) when I'm at work. And he does a fantastic job at it! I make a concerted effort to let him have his "me" time as much as possible, so I try to handle all the night wake-ups unless I have a huge day the next day.

Ummmm very rarely. Once in a while I will get a nap or a child-free trip to the grocery store. I keep threatening to go to the gym three nights a week but so far I've been too lazy. It's gonna be interesting when I go back to work and DH has her for 12+ hour days on the weekends...

The longest he's flown solo with her is 8ish hours. And it was once. He's done a few hours here and there as well. It's not that he isn't willing or couldn't do it, there just haven't been many occasions where it wasn't necessary. I imagine LO would be more than happy for DH to solo parent more. She's a total daddy's girl!

Just about never unless I go to a quick trip to the store. He's never bathed her or put her to bed (just held her for naps when she was a newborn) and has only feed her a handful of times when I was busy with other chores. Not sure he'd know what to do, sadly!

Like, as in without me at the house at the same time? I think I went to the dentist for an hour about a month ago. He'll do bath time, but has only been completely alone with her a couple times since I'm on maternity leave and nursing so I can't go too far anyway.

I fly solo everyday until DH comes home. He's in charge of bath time and bedtime. On the weekends, I try to sleep in, but I have to remind him to feed her breakfast! So pretty much never.
I've tried to have him primarily take care of her on the weekends, but it always turns out to be more work for me come Monday. I should try it again now that her sleep schedule is back to normal.

DH is a SAHD so, all the time. I also work overnight shifts and have taken a couple of weekend trips alone so he has spent way more time with DS than I have. Now that we have 2 I am hoping to get him a little more help when I finish maternity leave from family or hired help.

The longest SO has solo parented was 5 days. I travel a half dozen or so times a year for work and one conference is a full week. I was nervous and missed them both terribly, but my hubby is amazing with our daughter and I feel so lucky. It's hard for me to let go sometimes and not get critical (like with what he fed her for dinner last night, I would not have done - I'm traveling right now) but I do recognize how lucky I am to have such a great partner.

Since I stay at home and DH works, it doesn't happen often. If I have a night out with friends or want to go somewhere on the weekend, he is happy to watch for a few hours, but LO is only six months and I hate pumping so I'm not usually gone too long anyway!

4 nights a week, for around 8.5 hours while I'm at work, since he works the night shift and is home, he's able to watch him while I'm working. And then whenever I need to run to the store or whatever.

DH works late most nights but does take care of him for a few hours on the weekends so I can do things on my own. He has also had him overnight once when I went out of town and takes him at least one evening a month so I can go out with girlfriends. I don't think I give him nearly enough credit sometimes.

Usually a couple hours if I am running errands, meeting friends, etc. He did do Friday pick up through Sunday noon solo a couple weekends ago, while I went away with friends. He did great! Said it was easy. jerk

A couple hours here and there. He had a full day with her last month when I was in the hospital. When I got home she was still in her pjs.
