Hopefully once a year we will be able to either visit family or go on a vacation and a few times a year go on short road trips.

@Mrs. Bee: I agree, but DH doesn't.
We usually take 1 trip to visit DHs family each year (international, but all we have to pay for is plane tickets) and 1 trip with my family each year. I would also like to take another trip with just us and LO(s) each year or add a few days /another location to the family trips, but DH really resists that and prefers to spend ALL of his vacation with his family.

@yoursilverlining: same with us.
We've been on a travel hiatus since September for the end of my pregnancy/birth of the baby and we are finally (!!) taking our first trip today! My husband and I both have major wanderlust, so we usually travel quite a lot. I'm glad my baby gets to break in her passport!

At least one big trip a year, with smaller trips throughout the year as well. I love traveling and it's important to me. I want to show LO as much as I can.

Once or twice a year we fly cross country to visit my family for 2 weeks. We love going there and hanging out with them so it does seem like vacation:).
We can't afford any other big or small vacation during the year yet, but maybe in the future!

We hope to do at least one big trip and one small trip (road trip or long weekend) each year!
@lamariniere: I saw your pics on Instagram! Beautiful!

I would love to do at least one trip a year, even if it's just renting a cottage or staying in a nice hotel somewhere new. Lots of trips to the cottage and to visit family in between

I think once a year would be nice but probably smaller trips and a big one every few years We love cruising but they are pricey as our family grows so hopefully we can start saving for one again sometime when the kids are older and can appreciate it more

We haven't traveled in a long time, but hope to take a weekend away in the near future in the southern part of the state. In the future, we hope to visit dh's home country every 2-3 years, and then do smaller trips in between.

Probably every other year for a big trip because we travel to see family every year and we usually accompany dh on a business trip and make that a mini vacation. Three trips every year is too much for me. I like to travel but it's definitely a bit stressful for me.

Once a year at least! Either 1 big trip or a few small trips. I travelled a lot with my family so I would really like to allow our kids to see the world too. DH doesn't really care either way since he didn't grow up traveling.

If visiting family doesn't count we have never been on a vacation. I count all of ours as our trips. We take the kids to Utah, Colorado, we went to buffalo last year. We are about to go to DC but it's all to visit family. I am going to count those otherwise we just camp. And usually we can't do more than one flying trip every couple of years. 6 planes tickets is painful to the budget.

We will do one week long vacation and several long weekends each year. Maybe even two week long trips. I get really burnt out at work without a break.

At least one big trip over the summer & as many smaller trips our budget will allow.
We usually go to DC 1-2x/year and now that C is older we will likely go to the beach with my mom a few times per year.
