My mom is 53 and my step dad is 62. But my real father would have been 73, but died when I was 5.

@HabesBabe: I'm with you in the old parents category and I am the same age as you.
My mom is 67 and my dad is 72!
@Sweet T: your parents are very young! My half-brother is older than your parents!

@Sweet T: my BFF has young parents, too (they're both in their late 40s and she's 30 like me!)... I think it's awesome now that we're older, but it must have been tough when they were first starting out as a family!
@delight: It never really bothered me until I got older and realized that they couldn't do as much. It's really hard on my mom now because she watches LO 5 days a week while I work from home!

My BFF's dad is 86 (she's 28). Her mom passed away a couple of years ago (she was 55 at the time.)

My dad is 57, mom 51. I'm 29 and my grandma is closer to the age of a lot of my friend's parents at 72.

Mum is 43 and Dad is 45. We joke that when we have an LO that strangers will probably mistake my Mum as the mother instead of grandmother. People did with me and my grandparents when I was out with them and they were in their mid-40s when I was born.

I also have young parents - they're 47 and 48.
I know they didn't have a lot of money when I was little - but I don't ever remember going without! And I love that they're still young enough to understand modern society and have energy and such - it's awesome!

@Mamaof2: hahahah it's not so bad when they're younger, but once I got older, I was like... dang. My parents ARE old. LOL! But I bet you'll be a "young" 66-- I feel like our generation of parents is more involved than our parents were already.
