My LO is 19 months old and I would say right around 3 months was definitely the easiest so far. We had gotten through figuring out our nursing relationship. She was exclusively breast fed so I didn't need to worry about any other food. She was reliably sleeping through the night from about 9pm to 7am. We could take her anywhere and she would happily hang out in her car seat or in someone's arms. I wasn't back to work yet so I was much less stressed and had way more flexibility to do the things that I needed and wanted to get done. There are a lot of things that make her current age more fun (talking, dancing, learning lots of new things, etc), but that period was much easier for me!!

My LO is 14 months and I agree, 3 months was great for all of the reasons you said! At 5 months her sleep went to crap and it only got better around 13 months! 14 months is fun but challenging for sure.

DS was an incredibly easy newborn and slept well from the get go and nursing was never a struggle! His first month or two were the easiest. He slept a lot and was easily transportable. It's gotten both more fun and a lot harder as he's gotten older!

about 14 months and on! haven't hit anything to change my mind so far. 1-6 he didn't sleep anywhere, ever, and I thought I was going to lose my ever loving mind 100 times over. 14 months he gained a ton of communication skills and every day I look forward to what we'll explore or who we will go see!

She's almost 17 months, and I think we're in a good spot right now. She sleeps 7:30ish-9ish, and is generally really well behaved. She listens when we tell her no & we can take her out to eat without any problems. She's super fun and loves to cuddle & give hugs/kisses. She can play independently if I need to get things done. She can walk on her own, and actually tries to help with small chores like wiping things down or putting toys away. I'm dreading the next few months when the defiance and attitude kick in! I love this age!

She's 11 months. I think 5 months was easiest. She was finally napping better, could put herself to sleep for both naps & nighttime, could sit unassisted but wasn't mobile, I didn't have to worry about feeding her solids.

G is 12 months, and it continues to get easier every day. We can put her to bed awake now (as in, she knows it's bedtime and won't fight it), she can tell us when she's hungry, and when she's tired. She's started to play independently with her 'big kid' toys, and has gotten less clingy. She's also really started to listen to us; we don't have to bug her to keep her hand out of the VCR anymore!
It's a great age, and I'm really, really enjoying it!

The newborn stage, 0-4 months except for the physical recovery from my traumatic birth. She was easy to care for. We nursed on demand, coslept, and wore her and she was pretty much always happy.

One is 22 months. I struggled with breastfeeding and he didn't STTN, so the first year was tough--although, he was a happy baby, it was just hard for me. Post 12 months have been the easiest.
My other one is almost 5 months and an all-around easy baby...waiting for it to get hard with her! (I'm thinking when she starts solids...she hates anything in her mouth besides my boob!)

12-18 months. No more pumping or supplementing. She'd eat anything, shared, listened,etc. Not so much anymore

She will be 16 m on Friday and DH and I both say around 14/15 M. She is going to sleep much better, walking, and even with tantrums much easier!

probably 12-19 months. she was more self-sufficient than when she was an infant - could walk, feed herself, sleeping well, and she was in a lovely, agreeable mood all the time! now the terrible 2s are starting and she is definitely tantruming/whining more and becoming so defiant, which can sometimes be really annoying.

I can't say any age was easiest...some parts of each age have been really hard and some parts have been easiest. I think 18-24 months was a pretty great age though. 24+ is super fun but I'm constantly challenged and dealing with defiance and tantrums more regularly.

My LO is 2 and the easiest age was 6-11 months. I miss that stage so much! Not like the constant tantrums we are dealing with now!

LO is 10 months & so far 8 month until now have been delightful. I also loved the newborn stage. I was in a cloud of joy & overwhelming love. Then from about 3.5 to 7 months we hit the most hell ish regression ever. But the past two months, I have felt happiness, joy, unspeakable love (well, I never stopped loving her) plus we finally have a consistent routine that I can base my personal plans plus fun activities for us on. It's great.

D is almost 8 months and things are pretty great right now. He goes right to sleep at night without crying (usually),sleeps ~11 hours at night, eats anything I give him, and his default mood is happy. He can sit unassisted but isn't mobile, and he's pretty happy to play by himself for a little while, especially in his walker. It's awesome that we can finally sit down and eat dinner, and we actually get time to relax at night. And I just love how he reaches for me now, and how he puts his head on my shoulder when he wants comforting.
Of course now that I said this, the phase is going to end quickly, lol.

LO is 20 months and I think now is the easiest...he can communicate so well so he can tell me what he wants, he is finally consistently STTN and taking 1 consistent long nap, which makes planning our day easier, and he is independent enough so that I don't need to hold him the whole day or hover around him.

12-18 months. Sttn, ) liked to be held and content in stroller, good eater, not fussy.
Now at 22 months she is very fun, but omg the tantrums!!!

It gets easier & better every day. At 3 months, I was still not in a great place, and LO was never an easygoing infant. I feel like a more confident mom now although I have a ways to go. LO is STTN right now (knock on all the wood!) and that is life-changing. She will entertain herself for longer now. She is 8.5 months & just so, so fun.
I will say the like 3 weeks that she was steadily sitting unassisted but not pulling up or crawling yet were nice because I could plop her down surrounded by toys & come back to find her in the same place

Around 10/11 months! (He's 12 now and it's not much different).
It was such a fun age and no disciplinary needs. It was perfect.

I agree that right around 3 months was the easiest, for all of the same reasons. But around 4 months-10 months, we didn't sleep. Like at all. That was the worst...

@travellingbee: we had the same experience. Even now at 19 months she doesn't reliably sleep through the night. Mama is tired.

Tired over here too. If I have a second one, that kid better SLEEP!ETA he's almost 16 months.

I'm so surprised that so many people found the 0-3 the easiest! I definitely did not have the easy baby that others are talking about. So I think the easiest has been 6 months and up (LO is 10 months old). She takes consistent long naps, goes to bed easy, I'm not worried about how much she nurses because she can always have more solids. She can crawl and go where she wants which means less whining. She doesn't hate the car or stroller anymore. She doesn't get so tired and cranky anymore. It's glorious!

He is now 22 months and I think 15-18 months was the best stage. He was sleeping better and on just one nap. Not yet throwing tantrums and was so funny and fun and helpful too! Now the terrible twos are setting in so he's a bit more of a handful.

My eldest is 5 and for us, 2 was the easiest. He was still taking naps but learning and exploring so much. It was so fun to watch him grow but he still had a baby face. His tantrums were never that bad. Then he turned 3...and I turned gray, haha.
With my second, I'd say 2-6 months. She was STTN, breast feeding got easier and she was so easy to take where ever. She loved to be worn in the beco too so shopping, cleaning and cooking was easy. By the time she turned 1 and became mobile, she wanted to be fiercely independent and with that came loud tantrums...it's been going on for a year!

My son is almost 8 months and is finally sleeping well (just started to take consistently great naps and have 0-2 wakeups at night!) so in that arena, right now is the easiest! However, he also just started crawling and pulling up and holy crap, it's so much work making sure he doesn't get into things he shouldn't. I think the newborn stage was easiest overall--he nursed to sleep consistently, rarely fussed, and his wake/sleep pattern was okay for a newborn.

6 months was hands down the easiest so far. We were finally catching up on some good sleep and DS was a smiley happy baby who wasn't mobile yet. He's 11 months now and it's the constant chasing after him and making sure he's not getting into anything he's not supposed to that's difficult. It's also a lot harder to bring him to restaurants since he wants to constantly be on the move. At the same time it really is a lot of fun. I just require a little more wine once he's in bed.
Not gonna lie, I'm a little scared reading about these tantrums that come around two! haha

Man, I hated the 0-3m time!
I find her easier and easier the older she gets. Two months ago I thought she was easy, now she's 15m and doing more things and seems easier yet.

My kid is 3.5 years old, now is the easiest time! We can leave the house without lugging a bunch of gear, he's on one nap and he tells us such interesting side stories!

With twins, nothing is ever easy. I will say that things got significantly more fun around 8 months but we still struggle with sleep, which is really hard for me. Now that they're both walking, going to the playground or park is awesome and pretty much each day gets a tiny bit better than the last!

LO is a little over 2. Months 0-4 were the easiest. This current age is the most fun yet, but it takes a lot of consistency, patience, and creativity in a whole different way. It's much more emotionally draining.

@winniebee: I absolutely agree with this.
I feel like, overall, she's a happy, easy going kid. I do think that every age has had it's challenges though. I'd say maybe now is easiest (she's 2 and some change). Yes, she tantrums and we have behavior and discipline struggles, but she is a good sleeper now that we've given up the nap struggle, she entertains herself and I can get stuff done, and I love watching her view the world in constant joy and wonder. She is so much fun right now.

DS is almost 12 months and I'm totally loving his current age, but I think easiest would be when he sitting unassisted so that he could be more independent and play with things while looking around. Didn't need me to reposition him because he was tired of laying on his belly for 15 minutes or tired of lying on his back, or in the bouncy chair, etc.

I don't really think any age has been very easy, it's all had it's fair share of different challenges.
