We have a cat that is almost 13 years old. We put her sister to sleep 2 years ago. 
I had both of them from the time they were 6 weeks old.
I have a feeling our cat will live a very long life and the kids will grow up with memories of her (although she is scared of them and hides from them!).

Our dog Kele (Kelly) is only 1 1/2 but I remember growing up with my mum and dad's cat who lived till she was 16 and really hope it will be the same for my future children and Kele.

Our pomeranian is 7 and I got her when she was 11 weeks old and one pound 
Our golden doodle is 1 next week! We got him when he was about 10 weeks old last March.

cosby (my cat) is 10. they told me he was 6wks when i got him, but i took him to the vet and they said there was no way he was 6wks, he was more like 4, maybe just 5wks. the past year he's been sick on & off, but i hope he sticks around a long time. he & i have been together longer than SO & i have been, he's my best little buddy

Our dog is about 9 we think (rescue so hard to tell, especially since when I got him he was already about 4). The cats are around 6-7 we think (they were not tiny, but were less than 1 year when my husband got each of them).

Our pup is still a puppy! He is 9 months old. He'll be a year old in March.
My last pup was only 10 when we had to put him down due to colon cancer. He was too young to go.

We have 2 cats that are a little over 2, and a dog who is a little over a year old! We got the cats when they were teeny tiny kittens, and my dog when he was 2 1/2 months old!

We have a cat who is three and recently got two kittens who are six months old. We lost my seven-year-old cat a couple of months ago. It was very unexpected and has been pretty devastating but my other three kitties help cheer me up. Here they are together -- I can't believe how well they get along! We've only had the kittens for three weeks.

@.twist.: everytime we took him to the vet they kept upping his age. He went from a 15 to 19 in a span of 3 months!

My dog is 8 but acts like a puppy. I had her before dh! I think she will be good friends with lo. They are both super hyper!
I feel bad she hasn't gotten the same attention she used to since the birth of lo, but hopefully we are settling into a better situation for her.

Our cat is 5, we got him when he was 8 weeks, a few months before we got married. Our dog is going to be 3 next month, we got her at 8 weeks as well.

Two dogs here, both are pretty old. The shiz tzu-poodle mix is 14, but he acts like a puppy still. The poodle-terrier mix is 16 and showing her age a bit, but still finds bits of energy here and there, and eats like a pig.

My tabby, Jewel, is 8; Cooper, our lab, is 5; Riley, our Golden is 4; and Zeus is maybe 2ish. He doesn't have an exact birthday...at least not to us.
We've had them all since they were born, with the exception of Zeus, but he was only a few months old when we got him.

Our girl is 16 my husband got her from the pound when she was about 6 weeks old, so he's had her forever. I've been in her life for the last ten, so definitely attached!

Our cat and dog are both 3 (but were born a couple months apart). We've had them both since they were babies (old enough to leave mom)...although our cat stayed at my parents' house for his first 3 months because we couldn't have animals at our place. We brought him with us when we moved!
I think (and really, really hope) they will both have long lives and I hope they are close with our kids. They are awesome animals and awesome with the kids I watch. I have the best memories of the dog my mom got before she had me. She was a great companion!
