We are undecided how long we should wait until we start TTC for the second one. IF we do. That is also up in the air. I am 36 and certainly not getting any younger but just starting to wean now (LO is 11 months) and I'd like to have my body to myself for a little while...

I am in the same place right now! I have decided that I am going to take this year to myself and maybe we will consider next year.

our ideal window is 2.5-3.5 years difference - we started trying around 18mo right after I weaned LO. still trying now and she just turned 2. we expected it might take time because I have fertility issues to deal with.

We started trying when LO was around 10 months. He's 16 months now and we're still trying after a loss.

We started NTNP when DD was about 13 months. It happened quite soon after that!

We started right around when she was 13 months. Took a little over 6 months for BFP>

She'll be 16 months old when we start trying again.

My twins were a year and a half and James was 2 and 3 months.

We NTNP at 12 months and got a BFP 2 months later.

DS will be 2 in November and we'll probably start trying around August/Sept. I'll be 35 by then so I don't have that big of a window either.

I think we are starting when she is 18 months. That puts me at 36 min before I give birth. So while I would like more time, mostly to space out day care expense, we are going to just bite the bullet.

We tried when DS turned 12 months, got pregnant that month.

DS will be 2 at the end of March. We will probably start trying at the end of the year. We need to see how much we have left on our fertility benefits though since we will probably have to go back to the RE.

I've been wondering the same thing-- though I know the answer is NOT YET right now, since she is only 6.5 months old and plenty for us right now! But I'm mindful of my age and the fact that it could take longer TTC a second, yet I want some time after BFing to have my body all to myself and I don't plan to wean until after 1.... so, probably we will start TTC shortly before LO #1's 2nd birthday.

LO is 15 months old and we are still in the "not sure" camp right now about when to consider trying for a second. In my heart of hearts, I would really love to have another (and also would like to give LO a sibling at some point too!) but I can't even fathom being pregnant/having another anytime soon. I feel like I am just now finally out of the deep fog after the first year! In a perfect world, we would have babies who are 3 or so years apart, but we shall see. I am almost 34 now.

DS will be 2+ years old before we try for another! I can't handle 2 little babies at the same time, lol.

10 months, but we didn't get the BFP until 18 months. For us that timing worked out perfectly.

We are planning to TTC in the next few months (when M is ~18 months). I'm super nervous!

I'm also 36, turning 37 later this year and IF we decide to try for another, it'll be until after DD's 2nd birthday. Our ideal would be a 3 yr spacing. I've decided to ignore my age because no matter what, we're not ready for another anyway. We'll see how we feel come Sept.

We started not avoiding at 9 months pp. Got pregnant that first cycle and had a MC. Just starting to TTC again at 13 months.
I'm 32 and we want a few more. tick tock.

We're only just now pregnant with #1, so obviously this could change, but our plan right now is to basically ntnp once LO is here. I would expect the sexy times to be very limited anyway for the first several months, and if all goes well I'll be doing extended bfing, so there won't be a good window to have my body back unless we wait until LO is a toddler/preschooler. We don't mind if they're very close together. Mainly I really hated the stress of TTC and timing sex and all, so we're looking to skip that and let it happen (or not) at least for the first year or so.

I wish we had waited until DS was weaned as I'm now 28 weeks and he still won't give it up. We thought it was going to take longer than it did especially since I only had one day of spotting and no real period yet so we figured we'd risk it. I didn't want to wait too long because I wanted to have the option for trying for a third before I'm 35 if it didn't take long to conceive #2 or at least have plenty of time to keep trying for #2 if we had trouble again.

By then I will be 36/37 but I'm not going to worry about the age factor because it's more important for me and us to be ready for another baby rather than trying to beat the clock.

We were ntnp this month but assuming nothing has happened we will probably start "for real" in 2 more months. Dd will be 18 months.

We are hoping to start trying when DS is a year. I would be ready to try now (he's 8 months) but I realllllly don't want a winter due date. And I'd rather not go back to work too pregnant, my manager wouldn't be impressed!

We started trying when my daughter was almost 10-months old and I got pregnant the first cycle. We were thrilled, but my milk supply tanked and it was a bit of an issue since my daughter refused formula. We nursed through it (painfully) and survived

We started trying when LO was 22 months. I felt comfortable trying then bc I wanted my kids around 3 years apart. We've been trying for 6 cycles and no BFP...I thought it was going to be easy bc we got pregnant with LO right away. I'll be 35 next month

My OB told us to wait till LO was 18 months. So we started TTC when LO turned 18 months. I'm 35.

We're going to be in the "over 2" camp. We're looking at probably 5 years apart.

We were NTNP after #1 was born. AF came back at 4.5 months PP and I found out I was pregnant a month later. Our kids are 13.5 months apart.
We'll be waiting awhile before TTC #3. I'd like DD to be AT LEAST 1.5 years old, possibly 2.

We didn't really start trying per se, we just stopped preventing after 9 months but thought with BF'ing still and a super irregular cycle that had only just returned, it would take us a while. Umm, no, we were pregnant by the time LO was 10 months old. Age isn't on our side either as I'm 34 but clearly that didn't matter any

Not TTC for #2 yet at 13 months. I told DH we'll reevaluate in 6 months.

Our plan will be to start TTC when LO turns one. It took over a year to conceive him, so I don't want to wait too long.

I got pregnant shortly after LO turned 1. It was a pleasant surprise since we were not planning on TTC for at least another year. Unfortunately that resulted in a miscarriage, and I was devastated. It took me another 8 months to be ready, and we were very lucky to conceive on our first month of trying. My age is not a factor, but I wanted our kids to be close in age (2.5 years apart).

@loveisstrange: I thought I was the only one on the 'bee spacing that much. We're thinking 3-5 year gap.
