mine hit right around our 1 year anniversary, i was freshly 28!
i'd never even thought about getting married before 30, so babies were never really on my mind prior to that age~

I always wanted a baby eventually, but it got BAD the beginning of this year-- we'd been married over a year, and planned to start trying in the fall of 2012, but once the year ticked over to 2012, it hit hard. I turned 31 right around then.
I think it was a combo of age, everyone around me making babies, and just generally feeling like we had done the stuff we wanted to before kids so what is the point of waiting another 9 months? We waited until our agreed upon date and now I wish we started just a month or two earlier... -
I always loved babies but the fever hit around 26-27 when everyone around me was having babies.

Young mothers are the norm where I live, and I had a coworker tell me at 24 that I was getting behind. Ah!

I'm with @lydg: in that I always loved babies, but didn't truly get the fever of having my own until about a year ago so 26?

I was pretty young, like 23 or 24. I knew we were going to wait until we got married though, so my baby fever didn't ever get serious until just before the wedding.

Almost exactly a year ago. We decided to wait until we bought a house, which we did in June, and then we started trying in the beginning of August!

I started getting the itch after we got married. We're just past 1 year and the the fevahh is high! I'm 26.

Only just recently for me. Right after we got married (May of this year). It was like a switch flipped in my head and I was all BABIES!!!!! I am 28.
I know that we are still 12-18 months from TTC though, as I have to finish school and find a job and whatnot...basically we need to be more stable before we can bring a child into our family.

I always wanted children, at 27 I became more aware of my desire and by 29 I had strong baby fever and then waited for DH to catch the baby rabies when I was 31.

I was 25. My best friend had JUST had the cutest baby EVER and I wanted one for myself!

I always wanted babies when I was younger. Then I went through a phase (mid 20's) where I didn't want any at all. Then last year around Thanksgiving it hit me hard. Babies!!!!!! ha ha So, I was close to 29 (I'll be 30 in Feb).

I started getting twinges of baby fever around 24-25, and it was in full-force by 26.

@annie624: young mamas are the norm here too. If anyone around here waited until 30 to TTC they would be verrry strange but I guess thats most common elsewhere? Seems to be online!

@Andrea: @yoursilverlining: @Coco Bee: I am the same as you ladies! Never did feel the clock ticking. When I turned 30 I started thinking that I wouldn't want to miss out on having a baby and figured I had better start trying in case we ran into any issues. It only took one cycle and now LO is 5 months old and I'm a pretty happy new mom, for the most part!

Around 29 or 30. I always supposed I wanted kids but never REALLY wanted them until I was that age. I was also dating DH so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it...

Serious baby fever? July 2010, a few months before our first anniversary so I was 27.

I was 30! Maybe 31. DH and I just got together. I never really wanted kids before him and I've always known he's always wanted them. Once we had gotten together, I just knew he was the one and it made sense

Last year when my cousin had his son. He was so adorable and the only baby that stirred up the baby fever. I was 30-31.
