When my son first said "frog," it came out consistently as the f word. He was probably wondering why we asked him to say frog over and over again!
He's 5 1/2 now but hasn't sworn yet... he's heard some curse words here and there though, as I listen to crime and story podcasts and sometimes they slip in there. It seems due to happen any time now though, and wondering when it usually starts in most households.

Haha, football used to sound a lot like f***er, and we totally made him say it over and over. I actually had to explain to his preschool teacher that that was what he was saying because he loved to wear his "football shirt" to school.
He's said a couple, but I've never heard them, only daddy. Probably my fault...

No F bomb (well she sings "uptown funk you up" and it comes out more like that word but she's not doing it on purpose.) but she did tell DH to "get off his damn phone" about 4 months ago...I know it was something she got from me because he dives me nuts with the amount of time he's on his phone.

Correctly pronounced and in context: it hasn't happened yet. But that he does say "stupid" and "baby" as insults. He also says "what the heck."

the eldest has said "shit, what the hell" (which we correct him immediately...with "what did you say?!") and thinks "stupid" is a bad word. Last night he was watching EvanTubeHD and and all I heard was Evan Tu"Bitch" D and made him repeat it a few times for me and his dad. lol

A window blind fell on me and I yelled the F word, and C came walking over to me saying Duck duck duck. So I started talking about how ducks say quack and dodged that bullet! She repeats everything we say now so we really have to be careful. She's 22 months and a very good mimic.

No bad words yet, but I know we're going to be doing a lot of explaining in the future because some fairly common words in DH's first language sound like bad words in English. The word for "dirty" sounds like piss and DH says it ALL THE TIME because he's paranoid about germs, so I know it's only a matter of time before daycare starts asking about that one...

My son says a bad word in French. I myself don't understand why it's so bad (because everyone says it) and I use it in front of him even though I know I shouldn't.
Eta: he was probably around 3.5 when he started saying it.

Haha! When E says fork it comes out as the f-word. "Fork and spoon" comes out as "fkin spoon" like an angry Glaswegian waiter! "Clock" is pronounced "cock" - as in "the mouse ran up the cock". The cocoon in the Very Hungry Caterpillar is always met with shouts of "coon" - eck.
But a few months back, she walked into the playroom and announced "shithole". I'm pretty sure I didn't mishear that!

Once when he was 3, DH said, "what the..." And DS finished the sentence with "puck?" We freaked out and he hasn't said anything since! Although, I'm pretty sure making a big deal out of it is the opposite of what you're suppose to do lol
