The room where our nursery will be is currently our guest bedroom... So not put together at all. Its the room where we've been putting all the baby stuff we've accumulated. We are hoping after our showers (@ 27 weeks), we'll have the cribs and start figuring out where everything will go.

I'm not sure the two are necessarily related? Sort of depends when you have your shower and how fast you plan to use your nursery. But to answer your question... the furniture was mostly in the nursery but it wasn't decorated yet I don't think. It wasn't totally done until after the baby was born but it didn't matter anyways (both because she slept in our room at first anyways and also because babies don't care if their nursery is pretty lol)

Not at all. I just finished a week or two ago, and she is five months old! Lol. I mean, we had everything, I just had to hang things on the wall, put things away, etc.

Ours was pretty much done. We had DH's family shower at our house and people were excited to see the nursery set up. My ILs bought the furniture and my family bought the bedding. We had to purchase the decorations which wasn't a big deal to get ready. I was 30 weeks.

@Mae: oh, it's probably not related. I just know some people have themes and furniture purchased already. Maybe they painted... Etc.
I have nothing together and I'm hoping this is normal.

@ladybee: I was wondering if I will get asked the question about our nursery at my shower. My answer... Um, nothing is done. Lol!
We don't have a theme or registered for crib bedding (just sheets), just purple for the girl and green for the boy. I did go to the craft store yesterday to find a fabric with both colors that would tie it together. We aren't painting the room since its neutral but I plan on making black out curtains out of the fabric.

Everything was basically done, but I had my shower late (at like 37 weeks?) and I never really planned for my shower to provide the necessary things. I think everything, including wall decorations, were done by 36 weeks. Our parents and grandparents wanted to gift us all the big stuff like crib and stroller in advance of the shower and we reused a dresser and recliner we already had, so it was all pretty minimal. The only thing I waited on for the shower was bedding, a diaper genie, PNP and RNP - all of which would have been fine if we didn't have right away.

Our shower was at 32 weeks. We had already painted, and purchased/assembled all of the furniture. But most of the smaller things - sheets, decor, mobile, blankets etc were on our registry so we waited until after the shower to decorate. Now at 36 weeks nursery is finished and we are just waiting on baby!

We moved from a 1br to a 2br at 35 weeks... So it didn't even exist!
I think you have enough of a theme going. Kids will fill the room up with stuff you haven't even thought of yet anyway.

We were moving after the baby shower so nothing was done.

Practically done. I had already bought and arranged all the furniture and decor, put the bedding in the crib and had the room ready to be filled with all our goodies and gifts.

I still don't feel like it's "done" and c turns 2 at the end of the month and I'm pregnant with the second, who will share the nursery eventually. So...
But realistically we did keep it functioning has a guest room since our moms came and stayed with us (separately) after she was born and they stayed in the guest bed in there. The crib and dresser were already in there too but she slept in the rock and play in our room and we set up a changing station on my dresser.
We need to configure it now to make room for the second one.

Ours was pretty much done, but it was for our second son. We moved DS1's baby furniture into the second nursery, so we weren't waiting to receive anything from the shower.
I think you have enough of a theme going. Kids will fill the room up with stuff you haven't even thought of yet anyway.
