Especially if they started as a toddler?
I know everyone says the first year sucks but this is seriously f'ing ridiculous I feel like. I'm losing my mind. LO is almost 2 and she has been in daycare less than 3 months. In that time she got a bad cold. Then she got a little cold that turned into a double ear infection (urgent care visit + 10 days antibiotics). Then she got another bad cold. Then she got pneumonia (ped appt + 10 days antibiotics). Then she got an unknown fever/lethargy illness that lasted almost a week and I think was roseola (urgent care). Now she has a runny nose/fever/awful cough and I'm thinking we're going to end up at the ped again tomorrow because the cough is keeping her up and was so bad she threw up today.
I mean... less than 3 months. I have to believe this is not typical? That this cannot possibly last a year? I just need to believe we're having a string of bad luck and we'll get some longer stretches of non-illness soon.
Like seriously I actually like my job pretty well and I like working okay and LO is FINALLY doing okay in daycare emotionally and whatnot but we are all miserable with her being sick so often (not to mention us being sick from her getting us sick!). I don't really have a choice about working but if I did I feel like this would just not be worth it at all.
