With DD1, about five days. I walked half a mile to a local salon and had the most wonderful hair cutting experience of my life, then walked home. I had a super easy recovery though, despite a second degree tear, and never needed so much as an Advil!

It was a really long time. I wasn't allowed to drive for a while post c-section and LO was nursing almost constantly then my DH was back to work so I was on my own. I seriously don't think I left LO until my 6 week pp appointment?

Oh man. Can I admit this? When I went back to work at 8-9 weeks... I did do a few things without LO before then sort of, but always left the house with her snd just had someone watch her for the short term I couldn't be with her (like my pedicure at 2 wks PP, DH adjust hovered nearby with her but not in the salon with all the chemical smells). My maternity leave was too stifled with family and I felt interfering with my bonding time with LO so I hated to leave her if I didn't need to...
