Most people I know say something around 8-12 weeks. Some of my friends will wait a little longer though (14 weeks or so), especially if there's been a loss and/or until they can get more testing done.

Depends on the friend. Telling friends generally, like everyone, I'll wait until after the ny scan results, so like 13-14 weeks. Close friends depends, prob between 8-12 like you said.
First friends I happen to see after a BFP tend to get the early news.

Close friends? Right away. Like, when the pee stick is still drying! Acquaintances? When they announce on FB, usually.

I've found out anywhere from 4 weeks to 5 months!

Some friends tell me right after they POAS but most announce after 12 weeks.
