My favorite pair of glasses is clear, and they need a good cleaning in the nooks between the lenses and the frame. After a year of wear, there is makeup and other lovely stuff that's built up.
Can I remove the lenses? I bought them from Warby Parker, so no brick & mortar to ask. Have any of you taken a pair of glasses to a random shop to clean them?

I have an ultrasonic jewelry cleaning machine and it gets eyeglasses very clean as well - especially with the extra fluid they recommend. I can link the stuff I have if you would like.

Although it doesn't specifically say it is for eye glasses, this is the stuff I have, the reviews just say to rinse the glasses afterwards.

What about a very soft bristled toothbrush and dish soap? I wouldn't do it on a weekly basis but I think occasionally would be fine.

I have an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner that I use on my glasses. Does an excellent job at remonving tiny fingerprints! My local optometrist has one too and will clean glasses while you wait.
