When you're just annoyed at the world and don't feel like working or parenting or anything in general, how do you pull yourself out of your funk?

Drive through for a chick-fil-a ice cream cone on my way home from work. Or wine + Bravo after DS is in bed.

A hot bubble bath where I can soak for 20-30 minutes does wonders for my soul!

I take some time for myself. I get my hair done or nails done or do something that makes me happy. Recharge a little.
I also do a lot of pep talk inner dialogue-ing. "Twist, you need to act like a grown up and get back on track!". Type stuff. Super cheesy but I find it can be really effective.
Sometimes I make a small, simple check list and do all the things so that I feel like I've accomplished something, which then, usually, motivates me to accomplish a bigger, harder task.
Feel better!

I let myself be whiney for a little while. Then I have a few glasses of wine and read a book.

I've been really irritable (ok, angry) lately. I need some time alone to just do whatever I want - not food shop. I have markers on the way, hoping coloring at night will help zen me out.

Wine + good book + bubble bath + 30 min break from all parenting duties while my husband takes over = my reset button

A day or even half day off while LO is in daycare, where I take care of some stuff around the house that is bugging me (my bad moods often are from having too much stuff I want to do but don't have time to) and take some time to watch bad TV or read a book as well.

Alone time with a good book, movie, etc. I like to treat myself to something that I wouldn't usually let myself do as well.

Wine, salty food and a good book or show that I can enjoy alone. I find the alone time is what's really important; sometimes I just need a couple of hours to recharge.

Do you need more rest?
Also, a walk outside in nature helps me immensely!
Also, not to sound annoying, but making a list, even mental of things I am grateful for helps.
It depends what kind of funk! Sometimes it is just a break or doing something new or eating ice cream or having one of my favorite beers. In general I have to sleep, get out of the house, eat pretty healthy, get outside exercise etc, time to recharge if I need it....

I just phone it in until the feeling passes, and am gentle to myself for needing to do it.

Coffee and or ice cream, consumed right before or during a hot bubble bath with essential oils! Plus texting friends to commiserate.

@Greentea: "do you need more rest?" Nope. I need work to stop pissing me off.
I think wine is in order tonight. A big, big glass.
