DH and I have friends who post everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, on Facebook. We've made the decision that due to our jobs, we don't want to post pics of our LO on FB/Twitter. We are not really active on those sites anyway.
He is a cop and I'm in social work, so coworkers and friends in those circles will understand because a lot of them have done the same... but he is also on our church staff and all church events (including pics of people's kids) get plastered all over social media, and our non-work friends and church friends post pics and check-ins constantly. They are most likely going to think we're being uptight and crazy for not posting pics and not wanting them to post theirs of our LO.
We've already had the no-FB convo with family and it went fine. How should we word it with friends so we don't sound like jerks? I don't want our friends to come visit and remind them not to post the pics they take...I will feel super awkward!
