Help! I need to transport DD1's birthday cake! Any tips? I won't have time to ice it at the party room. So the cake will have to be completely ready by the time I leave the house. It'll be likely a small 5" smash cake size or a 8" layer cake. Can I buy bakery cake boxes at Michaels?
Any other tips?

Just put it on a cake plate and carry on your lap in the car. That's what I do when transporting food I don't want to shift.

You can get a Tupperware type cake holder. It's a flat bottom with a tall cylinder lid and carrying handle. Walmart, Target, etc.

I have a plastic covered cake carrier thing. I put gobs of icing on the bottom and assemble the cake on top, it acts as kind of a glue. Then I carry it in the car on my lap, lol.

I also have a cake carrier thing. But you can usually buy empty bakery boxes at a bakery for a dollar or so.

You can buy cake boxes at Michaels if you can't find your cake tupperware thing.

And remember to put some frosting down on the surface to act like glue before you set down the cake so it won't slide up against the sides and get smushed!
