We got 3 packs of NB diapers totaling 142 NB diapers. Is that too many? I just keep hearing how fast babies grow. Wondering if I should return a pack or two? Also, where is the easiest place to exchange diapers without a receipt? Thanks!

We had 3 pack of NB diapers too and ended up needing to buy 3-4 more packs. LO was 6lbs 9oz. You could keep them all and see what happens, and exchange them for a bigger size if you do not end up needing them all.

I changed 9-14 diapers a day for the first few weeks! You might need more!

depends on how big LO is when he/she is born. you have about a 2 week supply. My LO wore NB size for a couple weeks and was born at 7lbs 9oz.

I would keep them. Just make sure you open one pack at a time. If you don't need them all, you can exchange them. I had one large pack of NB diapers and ended up buying more. DS was 9lbs 5 oz and was in them for a few weeks. He averaged around 12 diapers a day. I know Walmart will let you exchange without a receipt, not sure about anywhere else.

We have about as many as you; I figure I'll keep them but not open the packages until I need them and try to exchange later if necessary. If you add them to your BRU registry, they won't give you any trouble about returning/exchanging. (can't remember if you have one or not!)

We used NB diapers for a couple weeks. He was 6lbs 1oz when born. We moved DS up quicker because the ones we had had the "cutout" for their umbilical cord but since he was a boy he always leaked out of the top of that kind!

I had 8+lb babies and only used 1 small pack of nb diapers bc they were gifted to us. Pretty much went straight to 1

We used NB for 4-5 weeks. We actually ran out, tried size 1 and decided they were still a little too big and had to buy more. Our baby was 6 lb 11 oz when she was born.

DD was over 10 lbs. and didn't fit into the hospital's NB diapers. DH had to go out to get size ones. We gifted our NB stash to a friend.

Ok thanks ladies! So far the OB estimates baby to be born around 6.5 to maybe just over 7lbs at birth. So sounds like we might have a good amount give it take?
@tororojo: yes I do have a BRU registry so thanks for the tip to add them! They are different brands so that's a good reminder!

LO was 9 lbs and never fit into NB diapers. I gifted the NBs we had to a friend.
Easiest exchange without receipt is Walmart by far!

LO was a scrawny 6lb-er and she was in NB's for a good 6 weeks. It really depends on the baby. Remember early on you go through easily 10 diapers a day, based on that you have a 2 weeks stash.
