Am I the only one with a toddler who has major daddy preference? Sometimes I feel like the only one.

DS is 16 months and is a huge daddy's boy. It has been this way forever. My husband is such a good dad and has been very involved from the beginning, so I feel blessed but sometimes it hurts.

And I'm not just talking about preferring him for playtime - he will even run to DH over me when he falls or if he's sick and wants to be comforted, he almost always chooses DS over me. Even bedtime he wants DH to put him to bed!

Some weeks are better than others - like the other night he ran past DH and went straight to me when he fell. If DH isn't home, he's very clingy with me. But as soon as DH steps in the door, it's "see ya mom" lol.

I don't get it. I'm the more patient one (and DH admits this as well), I spend more time with him because I work part time night shift and am basically a SAHM.

Just curious if anyone else has gone or is going through this. Sometimes I feel like the only one because most of my friends have babies and toddlers who prefer mom.
