Today is my husbands last day of work, which marks the beginning of his adventures as a stay at home dad and I need some advice on how to celebrate him. He knows I have planned to take him to a sushi dinner but I would love to have something else to add to the celebration. Any advice or suggestions?

That is SO awesome! How old is your LO? Would he perhaps like a carrier that would make multi-tasking easier?
Or maybe like a homemade voucher book with coupons such as "mental health" days for when he needs "me" time?

I am thrilled to have a progressive and hands-on partner!
She is 6 weeks! And those are great ideas- thank you! We have a Baby K'tan which he has used a few times but maybe a soft carrier like an Ergo would be nicer for him. Thank you!

Mine too!!! My husband will be staying home for the next 5 months with our LO. She's 7 months old now 
We don't have anything special planned, but now that you mention it. . . maybe we could go out for dinner tonight.

@JennyD: I am thrilled for the bond that they are going to create! We are aiming for 5 months too! Will you be/are you a WOHM? I know my husband will be great but I am still anticipated that it will be hard to leave them everyday. Was it hard for you?

@Protectlove: I'm excited for them too! I haven't started back full time yet. I will start tuesday. I have been into the office several times since she was born, but never for more than half a day, and never more than one day in a row. The last few times, it was kind of hard to go.
Since she was born, my husband only has eyes for our baby. I know he'll take great care of her, but I'm worried about the adjustment period.
I take it you'll be going back to the office too? I'll report back tuesday evening Good luck!
