We are in the throes of some brutal teething. Our poor girl has been waking up in serious pain - kicking her legs and rolling from side to side, and crying way more desperately than the norm. She hasn't figured out that she can use her hands to put the teether in her own mouth so it's been a fair amount of us sitting with her and rubbing her gums with it until she calms down enough to go back to sleep.

I finally bought some Hyland's tablets to try and gave her a couple this morning. They seem promising - she did settle and go back to sleep a good bit faster than she would have otherwise. But I realized when I put her down that about half a tablet was stuck to my finger (because I'd been holding it under her tongue to dissolve). So I don't even know how much she got!

Has anyone else used the tablets? Is there a trick to dissolving them? I feel like I need to keep a finger in her mouth until they dissolve because if she's crying they won't stay put.
