Yippeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! I have an interview on Wednesday and I couldn't be more excited! My job search has been long and painstaking with nothing but "thanks but no thanks" for the last 2 months and after some really rough weeks that have gotten me down, I have a little bright spot!
Anyone have any good tips for an interview? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I practice my butt off on those darn interview questions and make sure make my answer is the best answer. Like that one question that asks you about your weaknesses. I hate having to think really hard on a weakness that's good enough that they want to still hire me but not too good that makes it seem like I'm perfect and don't have any weakness.
Oh, do your research on the interviewer (if possible) and the company. I was always told that it helps when you know about the company before walking in the interview. I think it gives you a little brownie points because it shows you thought ahead.

congratulations and good luck!!! so difficult to even get interviews these days, so you're over a big hurdle.
i like to think up some questions to ask about the company/position beforehand, to show you've done your research/have thought about certain things enough to want a more in-depth answer.

Research as much as you can about the company. Practice interview questions. Ask other people what questions they normally ask when interviewing so you are prepped as much as you can be.

@bluestriped bee: YES I have been trying to come up with something that makes me sound like I'm humble but not worthless. I told DH that I was going to be talking to myself in the mirror and not to freak out. I haven't lost my mind completely.
@kjwinter: Thank you! I've been reading recent news articles and studying their website, it's actually a pretty interesting place, which makes it kind of fun I have quite a few questions and am going to write them all down!
@Smurfette: I work in HR but RARELY sit in on interviews because my job just doesn't allow the free time, so I'm going to ask my supervisor/director to give me some hints (the company is downsizing so they know I'm looking).
EEK I'm just so thrilled. The commute wouldn't be bad (~25 min) and they have on-site child care discounted to employees and a gym w/a salt water pool, multiple restaurants, this place is nicer than anywhere I could have thought. Better knock it out of the park 
I just hope the pay is good...IF they offer it, that is.

Congrats! Make sure to turn your cell phone off instead of just vibrate. Haha.. I made that mistake once and in a silent room, that vibration is the loudest sound ever!

@babyjmama: Congrats on getting the interview! In addition to what pp said, wear something that makes you feel good. A special piece of jewelry, etc. Will help with confidence.

Good luck!!!!! I think PP have offered some great advice. I always have some intelligent questions to ask them at the end bc when they say "do you have any questions?" I've heard it looks bad if you say no! Also, I'd wear a suit if you own one

Congrats and good luck! I would also make sure that I have an answer for the question "why do you want to work for us?"
Walk in there feeling confident that you are the perfect candidate for the job. I think interviewers can sense your level of confidence and will react accordingly.

I agree with pp about researching the company. Always try and be prepared with at least one question to ask!

If they have a website, check it out thoroughly. For my last interview (I work here now), I read through a few of the publications they had online, and I think that is what helped me to get the job.

Thank you all soooooooooooo much! I did a lot of research on the company last night and it genuinely is interesting so that helps! I'm practicing interview questions with my office mate today and having my mom press my shirt. Definitely wearing my suit tomorrow!

OMG you guys! I killed it! If I don't get a 2nd interview? Omg. I'll flip out because I.Killed.IT! It will be close to 2 weeks until I hear about the 2nd, but I'll def. keep you all up to date!!!

Your good vibes are helping!! I just got a call (a week before they said they'd be scheduling 2nd interviews!) and am going in Wednesday morning for my 2nd interview! My boss, director and 2the direct coworkers are writing me letters of reference to take with me. Ahhhh!!!!

I am soooooo excited!!! The pay is better than the pay my SUPERVISOR has at my current job and it's more specialized than what I have now, so I can feel more focused than what I do now. Oh you guys, I am SO excited. EEEEK!!! I can't believe I got this!

Thanks! I'm totally having a glass of wine We have a big getaway with our best friends (group of 5 couples) for a few birthdays (no kids!) tomorrow night so we're soooo excited to celebrate!
