Just got DD down and a giant pack of LOUD motorcycles cruises by. I am shocked she didn't wake up. Even with our Windows closed they are so freaking noisy

Ugh, the people across the street from us have motorcycles and I hate them (both the motorcycles and the people, because of the motorcycles). I seriously can't believe they're allowed in residential neighbourhoods, they're so loud.

@winter_wonder: I once went off on our HOA community board when LO was a baby about motorcycles. People made an effort to not rev them up near my house after my rant.
But seriously, I'm with you. I hate them and that they are allowed in neighborhoods.

Biggest pet peeve ever is loud motorcycles or loud cars and the driver revving the engine!!! Find a quieter way to express yourself...

DD slept through an entire motorcycle rally when she was 4 months old. We were walking in San Francisco and they came by. I was sure she was going to wake up, but I guess she liked the white noise!

Ugh, we live off a canyon road that motorcyclists love and they always speed down the street revving away. It's so obnoxious! I hate them!

Lol my dad and husband just went halfsies on a motorcycle that has the mufflers removed and I JUST told him that I hare people that do that. We don't live on a busy street though so I mostly get annoyed on the highway when the kids just fell asleep in the car and I know it's their only nap of the day...

I used to think they were ridiculously obnoxious, and then I saw the Discovery "Harley and the Davidsons" mini-series. I love learning about the history of how things came about, and motorcycles fascinated me. I see them in a whole new perspective now. I still think they're pretty dangerous and am not a fan of anyone in my family riding them, but I don't mind them when they go by!

Our nextdoor neighbor's son, who is in his early 20s, has a motorcycle and drives it to and from his mother's house all the time, sometimes at weird hours. It hasn't woken my son up (yet) but I do find it annoyingly noisy.

I love them! But yes, can be loud. People *can* be quiet with them...
They are seriously wonderful if you ride them respectfully.

@Greentea: Agreed! It is more the rider than anything else.
Also, children playing in the street are more likely to hear a loud motorcycle then a quiet electric car. I try to remember that but it doesn't always work And sometimes a biker will rev so that cars hear them since they are more difficult to see.
Oh but gosh the ones that go 85 on the highway without a helmet weaving in and out of traffic... that is what gets me!
