And now I'm terrified! Holy cow those were some BIG bellies. I never should have looked at that. I'm plus size already. OMG OMG OMG. Honestly as long as my babies are healthy I'll manage but I will NEVER Google search that again!

@Sugar.Biscuit: On the bright side: Google the Octomom or Kate from Jon & Kate Plus 8 and know that your belly will never be as insanely huge as theirs!

Haha, I know, it's terrifying, eh?
I was big, but not that much bigger than a singleton at full term. And no stretch marks either. So it's possible! Don't worry too much!

awwww. don't feel like you're doomed, i know one twin mama who had her babies at 35wks in the fall and by the summer she was rockin a bikini, she looked AMAZING! she said she was on the twin diet, the weight melted off her. BFF had her twins at 35wks also and she was about a size 14 when she got pregnant with them, growing 2 babies burns a lot of calories (and she was wicked sick, so she didn't keep much food down), by the end i believe she only gained about 10lbs. after giving birth and BFing, she lost a TON of weight.

I was huge, but it was doable! Warning tho, u may waddle! Lol. Good luck!

Other pregnancy-related image searches you should avoid:
"stretch marks and pregnancy" "epidural needle"
...I learned this the hard way!

@Sugar.Biscuit: FWIW my sister had twins and her stomach looks way, way better than mine after a singleton. We're both petite, but she carried way smaller than me, even with two.

I think was freaked me out at the beginning more than the size of the belly was thinking ahead to when I'd have up to four feet kicking in all different directions!
I was definitely huge, but the outcome was two healthy sized babies, so I couldn't complain (too much)! I'm almost six months pp and back to my prepreg weight, if that's any help!

@lawbee11: Hahah, there should be a thread for pregnancy issues and terms you should not google!
nectarine / 2765 posts
@T.H.O.U.: Yes!! I made the mistake of you-tubing episiotomies & that has scarred me for life.
Google can be evil! I'm also preg w/twins & also made the mistake of googling twin bellies...I had to force myself to stop. I'm not a huge person to begin w/so it's going to be an adjustment. Congrats again btw!

@lawbee11: @T.H.O.U.: @LMOG47: Don't google mucus plugs either. *shudders*
One of my friends just delivered her twins at 35 weeks and she looked the same size as most singleton pregnancies! Everybody carries different so don't worry!

@MrsH: Do. Not. Do. It. *still shuddering a year later*
@Grizz: Too late on the mucus plug. Don't know why I torture myself wi/these things. Google images is going to he the death of me.

I met a woman carrying twins at Target and she was about as far along as me and smaller than me. And her twins were totally healthy. It was crazy.

@grizz: haha, yep I googled mucous plug. Some things you just can't ever UNsee!

I carried my twins past term (well, past term for twins) and while I was indeed huge, it wasn't awful. If I can find a decent picture, I'll show you. No stretch marks here, either! Also, the extra awesome bonus point- my doctor encouraged me to eat ice cream to get the a) calcium and b) calories.
Edit: found one. This is 38w1d. I have a bare belly one somewhere, but I can't find it.

You will do great! I was big with mine but honestly it all evens out at the end - at 37 weeks (full term per my doc) I only measured a couple inches bigger than a full-term singleton pregnancy. For me it was mostly that my bump got big fast - people thought I was due any minute when I was only six months along. Either way, big is worth it for two healthy-sized babies - think how efficient it is!

@Sugar.Biscuit: omg, mama did I miss an announcement?! CONGRATULATIONS!! you're a January '14 mama too, right?

@Dandelion: @T.H.O.U.: @grizz: @LMOG47: not pregnancy related, but there are other things you can't unsee either. Case in point: if you know what's good for you, do not Google Image "is this jock itch?" I totally should win the good wife award for that. File that under things they don't tell you about marriage!!

@Sugar.Biscuit: you are going to be a *gorgeous* twin mama. In fact, you already are

@LMOG47: oh good gracious, your poor eyes! I'm telling you, that was in the *very* fine print of our wedding vows.
@delight: @LindsayInNY: I'm curious, too, but right now I'm a little too scared to pull the trigger.
These suggestions are like a car wreck: gruesome, but you can't help but to look. Gah!
@Sugar.Biscuit: good call. And anytime
