DD has a frontier in my car which she uses 90% of the time - need something for DH's truck and don't want to spend a ton - would prefer a harness/booster so I wont have to buy something else down the road

We have the Harmony Defender ($120 on Amazon) as our third car seat. I like that you can use the harness up to 65lbs before changing it to a high back booster.

I second the harmony defender. We have it in Grandma's car. It gets really great reviews for such an inexpensive seat and will convert to high back and then regular booster. You can get it for $100 at burlington coat factory. Or, if you don't need it immediately you can stalk it on walmart.com and I've seen it as low as $85.

Have you checked out the Graco Tranzitions? I was kind of interested in it, but went with the frontier.

Zullily has the Diono Olympia for $152 today. It is goes from RF to booster. No experience with it, but it has good reviews. (We're looking at car seats for LO2, so it popped up in my email today.)
