We *just* had G's party a week ago & P's next birthday isn't for another 7 months BUT I still have managed to start planning & get her invite done...
Last night when I was working on it DH peeked over to my screen & had a total smh moment...... I couldn't help but laugh at my craziness.
What can I say, keeping busy has been really important for my mental health these days. O_o
Please tell me I'm not the only crazy one that plans parties super early in my spare time for fun! eep!

@locavore_mama: We'll likely keep it around the same size as the first. We can't get into invited extended family b/c DH's side is freakishly huge (like 16 aunts/uncles not including spouses & children. eek). I gotta say I've known the theme I've wanted to do since before her first birthday so that might attribute to me wanting to start having fun planning. lol

@Adira: I'm impressed! I didn't get excited for LO's birthday until I got the invitation. I love cards too! I went to a kids birthday party at a park yesterday. There wasn't a lot of theme stuff, but we had a blast. LO had a cupcake and ice cream. He played and played.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Definitely a combo... indoor for food (had major issues with flies last year) but some activities outside. I want a puddle tub & maybe have the kiddos plant some flowers in a watering can they can take home or something like that.

I had planned to use the April Showers last year. Cute theme.
Ive already decided what we're doing. Lol. We're going to have an empty house since we're koving back to the US shortly after, so were doing a small PJs and Pancakes thing. Just small and casual.

I've been planning my January baby shower since I found out I was pregnant in June! My sister and two friends are helping me throw it but I'm picking out most of the details because I love to plan!
T's nursery is almost completely planned out (colors, bedding, accents, etc)...just needs put into action and I'm only 16 weeks!
I had a meeting with family in September of last year to plan my SIL's February shower. I love being the planner though. I'm good at it and its fun!

I love rainbow themes too! A friend did a similar theme and sourced rainbow coloured umbrellas as favours, and gold chocolate coins for the gold at the end of the rainbow. So cute and my son still talks about that party a year later! My friend made that fancy rainbow layer cake that @mrs.hopscotch made for her daughters first birthday... Very cool.
Plus I think that when things are tough, it's important to do whatever you need to soothe yourself, even planning parties super early!!
