My ear is oozy and hurts deep down in.
Do I call my OB or just go to Urgent Care? Urgent care is in the same hospital system as my OB.
I've NEVER had an ear infection before, but I want to stop this before it gets worse.

I called my OB office. I figure they can just tell me where to go.

Oh man, I hope you don't have an ear infection!!! I had one last year (my first as an adult) and holy hell; the pain was INTENSE.
I went to urgent care because my primary care doctor was full, and ended up having to go to an ear specialist afterwards, mostly because the antibiotics they gave me didn't work(I am allergic to most antibiotics, so finding one is always a struggle).
Good luck and feel better!!

@yoursilverlining: It hurts when I stick my finger in, lol. I've never had one, but DS is a ear infection veteran, so I had my 6 year old telling me whether or not it sounded like an ear infection, lol.
I'm hoping they'll prescribe me the drops, so that it goes to my ear only.
My OB office tried to get me in, but they didn't have any openings. They said it was fine to go to urgent care.

Ugh ear infections as an adult are the worst. I hope they can nip it in the bud. Lol at your 6 year old helping diagnose you though.

@Dandelion: I would go to urgent care like previous posters stated. I had one once and it was the worst pain ever. I couldn't move for two days!!!

So, as the day went on, my ear started feeling better? I decided to wait until DH got home to watch DS (so that he wasn't stuck at UC with me) or wait til morning. Or see if it decides to go away on its own.

@Dandelion: ugh.. I got an ear infection after having my first. I was sick for like 3 months straight. My ear was blocked for weeks. The pain and discomfort were unbelievable. The doc was this close to draining it with a syringe. I finally got onto the right antibiotics and a week later my ear finally popped.. Then blocked again for another week! Finally the infection cleared up and the ear popped. Ever since then I get crazy aches in that ear whenever it's going to rain or snow.
go get it checked out asap!!

Ugh I hope it's not an ear infection! DH had one last year Nd he said it was no fun! I hate things touching my ear so I definitely couldn't handle it. Don't even ask me about the time I had to get my ear cleaned out at the doctor. I cried like a baby lol
