    @Ali: how u going? Have u got a positive for O yet?
@chibee: We went to jersey when we were on our honeymoon( we have friends that live there!) we fell in love with the place!! We went to jersey shore boardwalk too! Your wedding looks so beautiful!!

So how are we all? I'm at 7dpo today (eeek) I had a lousy sleep last night, I was so hot ( although it's still winter here) and tossed and turned with worry. I'm really tired today as a result. Errrgh I hate Monday's! So I guess implantation would happen around now if I were to get pregnant so the symptom spotting begins. Lol my gut feeling is I'm not pregnant. DH thinks I am...

I hope u ladies had a fab weekend! Here's my questions for the week!

What's a movie u could watch again and again: Serendipity. ( I love this movie)

What tv show are u obsessed with right now: it's a tie between big brother and true blood.

What baby related research are you doing at the moment? Cloth diapering, I'm obsessed... And it's harder to get them in Australia so I'm checkin out everything. Totally going to do it though!

Who will you tell if you get a BFP? Just DH and HB.

Hello!!! Sorry I've been offline for a few days - we've been decorating the hall and picking fruit in our garden over the weekend, barely had time to sit down never mind get online!!

It's lovely to put names to faces! Such lovely pictures - and you both looked so beautiful on your wedding days, aaw!!

How's everyone feeling? I haven got a clue if I've Od yet!! I haven't had a positive OPK yet but my temperature soared this morning - basically, I havent got a clue what I'm doing hahaha! But it's a fun game to play, for now!

Fave film... Beetlejuice! I love it! I even had a Beetlejuice inspired wedding cake! My second favourite film is Almost Famous - you know, the one with Kate Hudson in? I love it!!

Tv shows. Hmm. We don't really watch a lot of TV (I struggle to sit still long enough to get into anything!!). Nah, I'm going to opt out of this one!!!

Baby related research. Hmm. I've mainly been working out my finances - i get 13 weeks fully paid maternity leave and then 13 weeks at half pay - so I've been workng out how much money we need to put aside to allow me to take 6 months off work when the time comes. We've thought/talked a bit about birth, too. I'd like to give birth at home ... whereas hubby is adamant that he wants us to go to the hospital in case "anything goes wrong". We'll have to take some advice and talk it over if and when the time comes.

How are you both doing? How's the dreaded TWW?! x

  4. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@Hanzabelle: I live about 5 min from the Point Pleasant boardwalk!
@Ali: what OPK are you using?

I'm also at 6/7 DPO today and honestly I have really had no unusual symptoms that I don't get before my period so I'm not expecting too much this time around. Also, my crazy husband made me take a HPT yesterday and of COURSE it was negative - he is out of his mind.

What's a movie u could watch again and again: Sound of Music, Aladdin, Empire Records - I can probably recite the entire movie/song - can't get enough!

What tv show are u obsessed with right now: Breaking Bad - only one more episode left!! Also, I'm catching up with Weeds lately, I must have watched all 6 seasons on Netflix within about two weeks haha

What baby related research are you doing at the moment? I don't really do too much actually, I just ask my friends that have babies questions about birth, pregnancy, etc. @Ali: 13 weeks paid and 13 weeks half-pay?? That is amazing. I get 14 weeks unpaid maternity leave - we can take all our vacation days, sick days etc during that time so I will have about a month and a half of paid leave, then 1/3 pay for the rest of the time - that's it!!!!

Who will you tell if you get a BFP? Just DH, sister, and HB as well. The rest, I'm going to wait at least 12-13 weeks.

  5. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Chibee. Wow,that (the maternity leave) must make planning a family really difficult. I get another 13 weeks after my half pay period at 1/3 pay, then I have the option of taking a further 13 weeks unpaid. I get a month's paid holiday on top of that, too. I'm planning to go back to work after 6 months for financial reasons - and I've been moaning about how hard done to I am!! I guess England isn't so bad after all.....

I'm just using the cheap test strips - supermarket (Tesco) own brand. They work out at £1 each...

Who will I tell if we get a BFP.... well DH, of course and my best friend. And Hellobee! Maybe my mum, too.....! Everyone else we'll tell at 12 weeks.... I'm really hoping for my BFP next month so we can tell DH's parents and brother at the Christmas dinner table.... I was thinking we could pop little notes into the Christmas crackers or buy a "to grandma and grandad" Christmas card....!

    My question.... hmm.....

How are you going to tell DH when you get your BFP?

I'm planning to buy a jewelry gift box the size of the HPT and say to him "I've got a confession to make, I spent some money today. But I got something really good.... look, what do you think?" He'll totally think I've bought myself a necklace or something and when he opens it and see's the positive test I'll say "It was worth the £7.50, wasn't it?".

Wow it's interesting reading about maternity leave in different countries. We get 12 weeks paid here and then another 12 weeks paid by the government( this is only the minimum wage though so its basically half my normal pay) the dad can take the government 12 weeks instead of the female if they wanted too. It doesn't really matter though as I'll be a SAHM- r u both going back to work? I still get the 12 weeks government pay so that's a bonus.
I have been sleeping so poorly the last few nights. Stress I guess. I do feel a little better today. Now that I'm getting so close to testing (8dpo today!!) I don't want to test cause soon the fantasy of getting a BFP will be over and I'll have the wait to O again! Urgggh.
I think I'll test with DH there cause I think I want to find out at the same time

  7. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

Yeah, I'll be going back to work. I'd LOVE to do the SAHM thing, at least for a couple of years, but I earn more than DH and we need both incomes to pay the bills. Childcare here is so expensive, though (like, £600 a month), so we're hoping family can help out with the LO during the day if and when he/she is here.

Sorry you're not sleeping. This is really quite stressful, this first month, isn't it?! I'm a bit grumpy, too - I don't think I've O'd yet. Humph. Oh well, guess I'll keep testing and see what happens!

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: oh that sucks! Stupid BCP!! Keep testing and staying positive!! I'm sure it will be any day now... have you had any signs? CM? Cramping?

  9. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

    Nothing whatsoever!!! Oh well...

@Hanzabelle: Have you have any interesting signs at all? You're only a few days away from POAS aren't you?

  10. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: yeah I'm 8dpo. I dunno... I've had some strange cramping but nothing really that out of the norm. I don't think this will be my month.

  11. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

And I bought some tests today so it's gonna be torture waiting a few more days....

  12. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

Oh no, that's another week to wait!!! Argh! It's torture waiting for you and Chibee to test, I'm going to be a wreck when it's my turn (if I EVER blinking ovulate!!).

I keep telling myself this - if this month isn't my month that's fine because, if I get pregnant next month, I'll be 12 weeks at Christmas. Imagine that - you can tell people in Christmas cards!

  13. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: hahaha I thought the exact same thing about Xmas too! According to the test packet I can test tomorrow. But I might wait til 10dpo.... And then do a digital on the day AF is due (14dpo) I dunno it's driving me nuts.

  14. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

You're blatantly going to test tomorrow!! Why else did you buy tests today??? You can't fool me, Hanzabelle! Hahaha!

  15. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: I brought tests today because I live in a smaaaall town and people gossip and it was soo quiet in the shop today I thought it was a good oppurtunity. Plus I've been obsessing over this site about what dpi gives what results.... Hmm let me see if I can find the link..

  16. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

    http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=10

Gives you average results from each dpo. Yes I know I'm obsessing- I'm a freak. Someone get me out of this craziness!!! Lol

  17. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@Hanzabelle: Are you going to test at 9DPO then?? I think I'll wait until at least the weekend - I was thinking Saturday, which will be 12 DPO for me, but I just don't even want to anymore bc I just know it's a BFN for me and I don't want it to ruin my Labor Day weekend!

@Ali: My body was weird after coming off BC. My first two cycles off BC were 29 days, then 32 days, so I must've O'd between CD15-19 for both those cycles. Then the third cycle, when I was actually going to start TTC, didn't O till CD27 or something stupid like that. So your body does weird things, don't get discouraged if you don't see the positive OPK for a while. This cycle, I used the OPK from CD10-CD19 with all negative results - talk about annoying!!

Maternity leave in the US is... lacking, to say the least, compared to some other countries around the world. Not very accommodating to working mothers. What exactly is the time difference between us three? Right now, for me, it's about 11am on Tuesday.

  18. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

We are 12 hours ahead of u here! It's 11pm I won't test tomorrow I want to wait til atleast 10dpo. How r u feeling anyway? Any signs? Any feelings?

  19. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

    @ Chibee It's 4.10pm here!

  20. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@Hanzabelle: no symptoms out of the ordinary for me boooo I feel totally normal. Ugh! How about you?? Also, thanks to you, now I am stalking the countdowntopregnancy site. Wait, was it you that mentioned that site?? Another good one is twoweekwait.com - where you can read stories. There's a message board there too, that I like lurk around in. Ahh this week is dragging!

  21. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@chibee: Apart from light cramping I feel pretty normal... I wake up every morning and feel my boobs hoping they will be sore (haha go figure) just so that there is a "sign". I think I'm gonna test at 10dpo just for curiosity sake, I dunno I'll probably chicken out!! I look at that site everyday and agonise over the statistics of testing early... lol Are you gonna wait til the weekend still?

  22. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

ok so I did something dumb... I couldn't help myself. The test was calling my name....9DPO...BFN. What did I expect? Waiting til Sunday now. I'm a loser. lol

  23. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

Oh great and now my workplace is getting "restructured" so I could lose my job too. This day suuuuuuucks.

  24. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@Hanzabelle: Of course it's a BFN at 9DPO! But that doesn't mean anything! it is too early, so don't get discouraged, and try to hold out until the weekend!!! Oh no, when will you find out the results of the restructuring??

@Ali: any signs of the O coming?

  25. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@chibee: thanks for makin me feel better. I've got to stop reading those stories of people who get BFP at like 8dpo. It has earthed me a bit though. I should find out about my job in the next couple of days.... My boss who I'm assistant to has already been moved on.... It doesn't sound good. This is going to throw a spanner in our savings plan

I'm gonna test Sunday now. Fathers day like I planned.... Stupid evil tests!! I should have just waited til sat to buy them!!! How r u being to patient?!

  26. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@Hanzabelle: I think I'm being "patient" because I just know this isn't my month. So I feel very zen about it all haha! You knew it was not going to be a BFP at 9DPO that is too early, you set yourself up for disappointment!! That means nothing, implantation might not even have occurred, or is occuring RIGHT NOW!!! I think I might hold out until Saturday or Sunday, only because I have friends coming to stay the weekend and I just want to know in case its a BFP (not likely!) and I should refrain from drinking. If they weren't going to come, I would prob wait until AF was late.

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you that your job situation works itself out, it must be so stressful on top of everything we are going through right now..

  27. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Hanzabelle: I'm so sorry about your job situation. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you. xx As for the POAS....! Naughty girl! I KNEW you'd give it a go though.... don't be too discouraged though, it could still be a BFP at the weekend. Hugs.

@Chibee: NO! No ovulation yet!! Grrrrr!! I've got some symptoms though, I think - my temp has dropped (for the second time this month) and I've got mild AF symptoms (which I also had last time my temp dropped, a few days ago). I think my body's trying it's best to O but keeps failing!! Hmm. I'm just going to keep on using the OPKs twice a day (and bankrupt us in the process!!).

  28. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: @chibee: I know I'm an idiot.. but I do feel a bit better now.. more sane and more realistic...besides if I lose my job this may not be the best time to get pregnant. ;-/.... I don't even want to think about that!!!
Ali- I hope this is a good sign for things to come and you O any day now!!!
Thank so much for being supportive girls! Its so appreciated!!

  29. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Hanzabelle @Chibee OMG you guys!! I got another negative OPK this morning but it was so much darker than it's ever been before - O must be getting closer....! How exciting!!

  30. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!! I hope DH is ready, he's gonna get jumped...lol

I had alot of cramping and CM today....and was feeling very light headed... don't know if it means anything..but I thought I'd share.

  31. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Hanzabelle Oooh, that sounds positive! Light headed is good!! And CM in the TWW is good! I can't wait until Sunday to hear from you! I'm too excited! Trying not to get your hopes up too much though, it's dangerous!! You must stop listening to me immediately - promise?! (what have you ever kept that promise?!).

  32. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: haha yeah listening to you last time worked really well! I don't have my hopes up high...i have kinda already expected the fact that this isn't our month and bought myself a new wallet to cheer myself up! lol I can't wait to hear when you finally O!!!!! Did DH get his Kindle?

  33. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Hanzabelle Hahahahaha! No, not yet! I was really angry about that, wasn't I?! I will buy him a new one soon (he stood on the last one!).

Sigh. I do think it's best to tell ourselves it's not our month, try to minimise disappointment if we do get BFNs. It's so hard, though - I've spent my whole life trying to prevent conception, pumping myself full of BCP that I'm now struggling to get out of my system and then, when I decide I'm ready it, it turns out it's not as easy as they said - I feel robbed!! Lol.

  34. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@Ali: make sure you test again soon - you are getting there! I tested twice a day every day from CD10-19, with all negatives, it was the most frustrating thing EVER! then I started testing again at CD27 with the darkest line I had seen, it was like I had spotted a leprechaun, the +OPK seemed so elusive to me haha keep us updated!

@Hanzabelle: I've had a lot of CM throughout this whole cycle but this is really the first month I've truly been "aware" of CM so I'm not sure if I always have CM, who knows??? Now, you be good and hold out a couple more days. And if this is not our month, then that's ok too!! I think maybe this whole stress of TWW, OPK tracking, charting, could make us more stressful than necessary and I'm thinking maybe if it doesn't take this month, I'll try to be a little less crazy next month but I'm not confident that I could do that haha!

  35. anonysquire

@chibee: Love me some Jersey Shore!

Ok I want to play along with you guys.

What's a movie u could watch again and again: Miss March, Your Highness and Year one!

What tv show are u obsessed with right now: Wilfred, Pretty little liars, Dexter and breaking bad. Oh and sons of anarchy

What baby related research are you doing at the moment? I am researching early pregnancy symptoms like crazy, and cloth diapering too!

Who will you tell if you get a BFP? HB only, I am prob the only one but I won't be telling DH for a while...

  36. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@Anonysquire: how come you won't tell DH for a while if you don't mind me asking?

  37. anonysquire

    cantaloupe / 6923 posts

@chibee: People are going to think I am mean or something but DH can't keep a secret for the life of him. Like when we were dating he would tell his family and friends everything about us. It really ticks me off. Anyways since I have like no relationship with DH's family anymore, I really don't want them finding out before my family. So I will tell DH then my family, and then his family. All within a short window. I know I am crazy and people probably will not see the point of this, but it's just what I want.

  38. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@anonysquire: yay welcome!! Oh I looove dexter too! I can't wait for the new season to start!!!
I can understand why you are not telling DH. I am all for keeping it a secret from family til atleast 10 weeks ( except HB ofcourse!!) and then tell the world at 12 weeks. It will be hard though. Our family lives far away though so I guess that easier.

  39. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@chibee: I totally get about the "aware" thing. I have probably had these "symptoms" every month buts it's only now I'm really noticing them!

  40. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@anonyaquire: haha i dont think youre mean i think its kind of funny! I think ill have a harder time keeping it a secret than dh though

@hanzabelle: i am dead tired tonight i think im just worn out from the waiting. Im def not anxious to test anymore but i just wanna know and get it over with!
