@mrssquirreld: well, if anything, it's an indication that your body is trying to O - are you having EWCM?

@mrssquirreld: It's ok to take breaks here and there. It can be a lot of stress on both you and DH to BD all the time. Maybe you two should go out and do something fun and non baby related together? I'm sorry you just have creamy mucus today...maybe you're just a day or two away from a real ovulation?

I am so overwhelmed with pregnancy announcements popping up all around me today - I literally want to crawl into a hole and never come out ugh

@chibee: I know! FB has been the worst and I've honestly stopped paying much if any attention to the POAS boards too. It will be our turn one day and we'll be the ones posting it on FB while our friends may be having difficulties. Just try to keep busy, stay away from FB, and focus on you. We can't change that others around us that get pregnant, but we can try to change that we do!

@marionberry: what is going on?? it's like a freakin explosion of pregnancy news everywhere! I got a text from my friend at 5:45am w/a pic of her BFP FRER - I am actually incredibly happy for her because she had so much difficulty w/her first (finally conceived through IVF) and this one was natural - but i'm having a hard time today. Totally have to stop going to POAS boards, I want to feel so happy for everyone but I can't help but be selfish and feel a little blue about it all. Ugh. Need to stop obsessing. Thanks for listening!

@chibee: there was a thread I started a few months ago on that very topic and from that I can tell you SO MANY women have gone through the same thing. It's totally natural and nothing to feel bad about. I had two of my closest friends get married after me and pregnant on their first try. It was really hard when I found out, but that day passes and you feel so much better. It's ok to have a day to be really upset and cry and hate the world, as long as that day isn't everyday. I'm here if you ever need someone to vent to about it. Over 10 months I've been in that position many times.

@chibee: after AF showed up, I decided I have to stay away from HB as much as I can cause I know stress wasn't helping things when all my thoughts were on getting BFP

So I did call my gyno - left a message with the office people yesterday. I told them that I've been off BC since May and I'm having very irregular periods and possibly having trouble getting pregnant - the office people told me, it's totally normal, I'll talk to the doctor and have her call you back. Today I get a message, that the doc would like for me to come in. I made an appt for 1/7 - i wonder if she is concerned about something??

@chibee: who knows but that's great news! I'm excited for your appointment.

  20. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@marionberry: i'm strangely excited too, I just want to know if there is something that can be done! A little nervous too, in case it's bad news.. I've had an irregular pap that turned out to be nothing before so that may be why she might want me to come in? I have no idea. Is it weird if I bring in my charts? I just want her to know I'm not "casually" trying, I am actually trying to time it just so.

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@chibee: I wouldn't think your irregular pap is her reason for bringing you in. I had an irregular Pap which led to a LEEP and even it has very little to do with me not getting pregnant. She's probably curious due to your irregular periods. Since May they should've evened out a bit. You should bring in your charts but many OBs don't like them, so don't be bothered if she doesn't look at them. Just make sure to really take the time to explain to her everything you've done, any fears you might have, and ask her all of your questions. From there I'm thinking she'll probably want you to take some tests, usually cd3 bloodwork. That should give you a lot of answers. Best of luck!

@marionberry: Just saw this and popping in to say YAY and good luck!!!!!!!!!!! And by the way - I also had a LEEP - do you know if your cervix suffered at all from it for TTC? I had to have mine dilated as it was basically all the way closed due to the LEEP 2.5 yrs ago. Definitely something IUI would fix if that's an issue at all. So excited for you!!!!

  33. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@JoJoGirl: I've never had a doctor tell me anything looked wrong with my cervix, but both my OB and my RE said that the LEEP could affect how sperm would swim into my uterus and could definitely play a part in me not getting pregnant. I also never had EWCM until the clomid this month. They both recommended IUI because of that mixed with DH's mild male infertility. Our RE said we have really good odds at IUI working for us so I'm crossing my fingers! We'll do up to 5 cycles but I guess I'm crazily hoping the first one works. I have up to 3 mature follicles.

  34. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@marionberry: That is awesome!!!!! Yeah my OB said tons of folks need IUI after a LEEP so i'm sure sure sure this will do the trick for you!!! And 3 mature follies is so awesome!! Eep! Time to start chart-stalking again I've been so behind!

  35. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@jojogirl: I'm thinking about not charting the second half. While part of me wants to see what a pregnant chart looks like, I could really use the break from the stress of over analyzing it. At the same time I honestly think I'm addicted to charting and don't know how to stop. So stay tuned to see what decision I make.

  36. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@marionberry: I totally support not charting! Not like you need confirmation of O or anything... you'd probably obsess more than necessary. Well definitely keep us posted on how you're feeling
