I usually get birthday cake from a local bakery, but I was thinking of getting a Haagen Daz cake for DD this year.
Which do you prefer?

Regular. I don't like ice cream cake very much...at least not the Carvel ones, which D insisted on having for his last birthday even though I totally could have made him an awesome one...

I grew up having an ice cream cake for every birthday and loved it. For LO's bday we continued the tradition (and had normal cake too), but the ice cream cake was devoured.

I never met a cake I didn't like-however-Dairy Queen ice cream cake with extra fudge and cookie crumbles is where it's AT. yes. You can order with extra. Yes. It's worth it. Yes I will eat it ALLLLLL

I prefer regular cake but also love ice cream cake - but like @beaker said it has to be the kind that has a layer of real cake with a layer of ice cream.

Love ice cream cake! I always had it at my birthday parties growing up even though I have a January bday-- Carvel, extra crunchies if possible.
My little sister is having ice cream cake at her wedding in a few weeks-- they have the pretty regular cake that comes with their venue, then got a few ice cream sheet cakes from Coldstone-- super excited about this!

I LOVE ice cream cake. Definitely that over regular cake. Unless the regular cake is homemade, in which case...it might be a tie.
