How much do you want your Lo to weigh?
I wanted my Lo to be around 8lbs. She was 8lbs 1.1 ounce when she was born
Hoping DS is in the 8-8.5lb range too!

DD was 6 lbs 11 ounces; DS was 7 lbs 6 ounces. I'd take another 6 pound-er, lol.

I don't think I cared.... I just wanted her to be healthy. I knew she was going to be big and I was scared she was going to be too big, so I didn't want her to weigh so much that I'd have to have a c-section.

I wanted around 7 lbs... I didn't want a big baby!! And DS was 7 lbs 1.4 oz so perfect
I was 6 lbs 14 oz when I was born. But my mom had six kids and all were really different sizes

LO was 8 lbs, 1 oz so I want the next baby to be around the same weight but not heavier!

DS was 10lbs 9oz. I worry about the next baby because my mom and MIL all had progressively bigger babies. DH's younger brother was over 11 pounds.
At first it was great because DH was more comfortable than he would have been with a smaller infant. However DS is still in the 95+ percentile for height and weight. There were some things that were frustrating as he got older, like him being too tall for his exersaucer and jumperoo, outgrowing clothes at an alarming rate, and being too big for most onesies now (I wanted to make it through the winter before changing to tee shirts). Plus now as he is just turning 18 months old, he's already 34 pounds and he is heavy to carry around.
But we never were worried about his weight and I think his growth rate has finally slowed. Hopefully the 3T pajamas I got him will last all winter! He was like a stuffed sausage in the 2T pjs.

I don't think think consciously thought about it, but I cringed a little at the thought that he might be over 8 lbs. He was 7 lbs 4 oz which was just fine with me.

I would like under 8 lbs (under 7 is even better!) as long is he/she is healthy.

Average would be great. The women in my family tend to have big babies...I was a ten pounder. Don't really want to push that out the first time around!

@Mrs. Bee: Bee, you meant that Olive was 4.15, and not 14.15, right? Hehe

If I had to pick, it would be 7-8lbs... I assumed she would be between 9-10lbs... and she was 10lbs 8oz AND she came out the natural way. Yeah, Im pretty proud of it.

I would love to have Baby Boy 2 make it to about 7 lbs. Baby Boy 1 was just 5.5 lbs.

They were guesstimating E would be around 7.5-8lb...he was 8.12, and did a lot of damage to me on the way out...plus the 2 hours of pushing. I would have liked their guess to be more correct, ha!

I didnt really care, I thought she would be about 8lbs but she was born weighing 6lbs 9oz

I didn't care with my DD, she was 9lbs 6 ounces. OUCH! So, when I found out I was pregnant with my DS I really wanted a cute 6 pounder. I knew it wasn't going to happen, but I remember really yearning for a small baby. Well, be careful what you wish for. He was born three weeks early and 7lbs 13oz. Obviously for his gestational age he was HUGE, but he was tiny for me. And then he decided to gain very little weight for his first three months. I will never wish for a tiny baby again!
BTW he's currently a CHUNKER at seven months

I was hoping for 6+ lbs each for my twins. Babyboy was 6-12 and Babygirl was 5-4....so I was exactly 12 lbs of baby, but I would have liked her to be a little bigger.

I'm expecting our LO to be around 8 lbs! DH and I both were right around there, so it's probably safe to assume he'll be like us
