I couldn't find an IF Check-In post for yesterday so I figured I would start one for the first time
How has this week been for everyone?
Non IF related question, if money and education were not a factor, what job/career would you love to do?

I'll start! If money wasn't a factor, I would love to do volunteer work with teenage girls teaching them about self-esteem, self-worth and just general life skills.
As for IF updates, I have my doctor's appointment on Tuesday so I'm just waiting for that. I just O'd this week and it was more painful than it usually is, so I feel anxious wondering if something is wrong.

If money/education weren't an issue and assuming I actually had the talent, I'd be a photographer or interior designer.
No IF updates here, about to start temping and using LH tests again just to keep 'trying' during our few months off from the RE.

@alohaorchid: Thanks for getting things started!! And I hope your appointment goes well next week!
I'm a stay at home mom right now, so while I'm not exactly bringing in the big bucks it is definitely a dream job for now but if I could have any job, I would spend my time designing knitting and sewing patterns for babies/kids. I kinda dabble in this now, but don't really have a ton of time for it. And once we have little one(s) in school, I'll go back to work in consulting.
AFM, my sister just asked if I wanted to take her maternity clothes when I see her this weekend. She doesn't know (unless my mom told her) that we are doing another FET in November, but I guess she is just being hopeful for us in general. Still gives me uncomfortable twinges thinking what if I don't get pregnant? It didn't happen with the last FET and now I'll have these maternity clothes to deal with! Maybe they will bring good luck?!

Happy Friday! It's been an interesting week, work-wise...next week will tell all.
If I could do anything, it would be to have my own bakery/tea shop. I love to bake but it's so pricy!

Honestly I would LOVE to be a stay at home mom when the time comes! Unfortunately, that's probably not in the cards for me!
This week has been a little crazy! I got my first BFP in the 3+ years DH and I have been trying. I was really excited, although that was quickly stomped on when my first beta came in on 7dp5dt at 18. I had my second beta yesterday at 9dp5dt and it's 52. Fortunately it more than doubled in 48 hours, which is great! I am still incredibly nervous, but we will see if those numbers continue to climb.

Not that I'm anywhere near being able to do this...but I think my yoga instructors have a pretty sweet job!
I'm just waiting to hear back from my RE's office about scheduling my FET for next month... And doing lots of yoga, although not with a specific goal in mind yet.
@alohaorchid: Hoping you have a good appt Tuesday!
@PurplePumps: A "surprise" baby would be the absolute best! Try not to stress, though! Wishing you a very relaxed couple of months and a great time over the holidays! Will your next cycle be in January?
@GreenThumb: Yay for SAHP-ing! Do you think you'll take the clothes? I'm getting excited for us both!

@Sunshine1810: I'm optimistic and overjoyed for you! Thinking lots of warm, welcoming, and "anchoring" thoughts for your LO!

@PurplePumps: Interior design would be amazing! We're building a house right now and decorating is all I can think about. Enjoy your break from the RE, I'll have my fx for you!
@GreenThumb: Are you going to take the clothes?
@babycanuck: Baking professionally would be nice, that's something I've considered before too.
@Sunshine1810: That is so exciting, congratulations!! Think positive mama!
@FliegepilzHut: All of the yoga instructors I know are so cool and chill, you're right, that would pretty awesome! I'm so excited for you for your FET!

@FliegepilzHut: Thank you! So exciting that you're ready to schedule your FET!
@alohaorchid: Thank you! I am trying, I have a really hard time with being positive when it's anything related to this, but I am working on it! Good luck at your doctor's appointment!
@GreenThumb: I think they're definitely lucky maternity clothes

@babycanuck: I would definitely come to your bakery/tea shop!
@alohaorchid: Thanks! We're definitely getting there...

DH jokes that I missed my calling as a pharmacist. If I could go back in time, I would've gone to pharmacy school instead of law school. But such is life!
Just officially entered the TWW again yesterday

@LindsayInNY:
I am not sure what I would do- maybe write guitar songs part time, and something a little more intellectual for the rest.
10DPO (I think), first cycle on femara, and our anniversary is today. My temp was up 0.3 degrees this morning! I am trying not go get my hopes up, because I had a few months ago, I had elevated temps for a few days around this time and then AF came. I woke up in the middle of the night really warm, and kicked the covers off. Then later I woke up cold and had lots of blankets on me. I hope it's a BFP rather than getting sick.

@GreenThumb: You could take the clothes and store them in a rarely used closet or something. I have some baby things I really hope to use in our extra bedroom's closet. I rarely see them.

@FliegepilzHut: @AmeliaBedilia: @Sunshine1810: @alohaorchid: Yes, I think I will take them… it's time to turn on the power of positive thinking!
@FliegepilzHut: Yoga sounds great! I should try to get back in the habit. I just scheduled an initial acupuncture appointment. I was going regularly before my first FET, but didn't go last transfer because my favorite practitioner left. But I just found a new practice where I moved, so why not! Excited for you to get your schedule soon!!
@AmeliaBedilia: @LindsayInNY: FX for you both!!
@babycanuck: My husband and I always joke that we should open a cafe that only serves soup and muffins/cupcakes because that's what we like making!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@GreenThumb: Yay for optimism! Yoga is absolutely delightful...although I'm going to try and find out what my RE would prefer I do (or not do) immediately following my FET. I was talking with @mrswin: about acupuncture recently...my practitioner seems suspicious of IF treatments...and therefore not altogether helpful. How did you vet your new acupuncturist? Have you heard of the "German method" (@mrswin: suggested it)? Also, I would totally go to the all-muffin/all-soup cafe!

@FliegepilzHut: ! My original practitioner (and the whole practice actually) specialized in fertility, so I was seeing her before I was finally diagnosed with IF issues that needed western medicine to resolve. The practitioner here… well honestly, the internet! I'll go once and see what I think. He also specializes in working with patients who are undergoing fertility treatment so I'm hoping for a good fit. Then I'll go into my original practice when I am there for my transfer the morning of and the afternoon after. I have not heard of the "German method". Any good info to share?

Crosspost from TTC6+ months thread:
12DPO, temp up, but BFN on a wondfo. My temp has gone down by this point on every cycle I have ever charted except for one (unless I was on progesterone), and I have been charting for 2.5 years. This is my first femara cycle, and three possibilities:
1. Femara raises my temp in LP.
2. Too early
3. Wondfo tests are wrong
Going a little crazy. My hopes are so high. Thoughts?

Hi ladies! Hope you don't mind a quick intro from myself. We've been ttc for 2.5 years and I just started seeing a new RE. I'm 8dpo and this cycle looked promising and we timed it as best as possible (17.5mm, 15.4mm, and 8mm follicles on cd12)!!
If I could do anything, I'd rescue dogs
@Ameliabedilia - I don't chart, but wishing you luck!! And also hello, again - it's been a few years
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@GreenThumb: No, I don't know anything about it... Guess I'd better ask @mrswin:! How often will you go before your transfer? I've actually never gone post-transfer!
@AmeliaBedilia: Did you have multiple follies this month? That could make your progesterone levels higher than average! It IS definitely still early. Maybe try a FRER in 2-3 days if your temps stay up? FX for you!
@MrsYellowJacket: Welcome! What kind of dogs would you rescue? Are you taking any meds? Was this a TI cycle? Wishing you lots of with your new RE!

@FliegepilzHut: Thank you!! Ideally, I'd save them all. Hehe!!! Unfortunately DH won't let me. We have two small mutt rescues that are our children now.
I'm on clomid for the 4th cycle this time around and it's the first time I've responded to it!! I'm kind of "starting over" with the new RE. Based on my DH's super swimmers, she's ruling out IUI and we may go straight for ivf at the end of this year. Hopefully it won't get to that though!

Hey all!
CD11 tomorrow and we see our fertility specialist tomorrow and take bloods to monitor for ovulation over the coming days/weeks. God, I hope the Femara works and we can transfer our final frosty.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@MrsYellowJacket: I definitely know that feeling. We currently have 2 rescues as well...but DH thinks things start to get a little crazy when the dogs outnumber the people, so we're holding. I hope (for all the obvious reasons) that you don't have to do IVF...but know that if you do, it's not bad...and can really speed things along. Best of luck this cycle and with your new RE!
@jaguar: Wishing you an easy few weeks and the best of luck!
ETA: Yay! Got my FET scheduled for 11/26!

@jaguar: sending good vibes your way!!
@FliegepilzHut: ha. My husband agrees with the human:canine ratio! Thank you. I have a good feeling with her!
