Hi all, sorry for the delay! I didn't think people seemed interested last week so I skipped this week but now I see it was used!
I guess I'll keep them going till no one replies at all
What is your favorite fast food / takeout?
Updates?

No major updates for me this week. Just that I started BCP and I'll start injectables on 10/28. So I prob won't have much to add for the next couple of weeks but I'll follow along.
My favorite fast food is most definitely Taco Bell. And I don't even care who knows
We don't really have any of them in my city (maybe some random locations) so I don't get it nearly as often as I'd like!

I'm hoping to have a consult with my doctor Monday to have some next steps. Charting wasn't easy this month, I assume because my hormones are all wonky.
Since going GF, Chick-fil-A is about the only fast food I trust. They have a separate fryer for fries. And their fries are the best anyway!

Thai food. Not much for updates, my OB gave me Clomid but I read a bunch on it yesterday and I don't know if I want to do it. My lining is SO thin as it is....I just really hate giving up my estrogen too. Right now we are unexplained.

Just getting started with acupuncture and Chinese herbs again this month. I need to temp, but I'm being lazy.
Favorite take out is Greek, but favorite fast food is Bakers. They are a local chain that has veggie burgers that are really good.
I'm not really jumping back into treatments until Jan, and I have 100 mg clomid on my nightstand. WWYD? The last time I took it was May? And new dr won't prescribe me more than 50mg.

I finally ovulated on cd 28! Or at least think I may have. I'm hopeful this is my cycle since we no longer have IF coverage. I also took the plunge and bought another package for continuing acupuncture. It was so helpful during my med free break 2 years ago & also helped start my period & ovulate, albeit late.
My favorite fast food would probably be in-n-out. We don't eat it often but I definitely craved it while pregnant (& had DH pick it up at midnight to satisfy pregnancy cravings).
@Crystal: I have 150 mg clomid sitting in my cabinet as well! It's been sitting there for over 2 years now & while I have had thoughts to take it just to up my chances of ovulating, I remind myself about how shitty I felt while on the hormones & probably not the best idea for me to be going down that road again. do you know if you respond well to clomid? I remember when I took it, only the 150 mg allowed me to ovulate & I only got 2 good eggs back then.

I have my first u/s on Wednesday! I have so many emotions swirling around in my head. I'm excited/nervous/hopeful and everything in between. I'm sincerely praying for a strong, healthy heartbeat! My worry has been in overdrive lately, and I'm just trying to take it one day at a time.
So, on the PIO I never had any side effects, but since making the switch to Crinone, I've noticed my nipples are really sore! Now, I'm not sure if it's the Crinone or actually being pregnant! Either way, I can sit and sleep without wincing in pain! It's a win in my book!
@Crystal: I've taken an increased dose of Femara without my doctors orders. I felt like the smaller dose was doing nothing, so I upped it myself. I wasn't monitored on it either, so I have no idea if it produced more or better eggs! If you are starting treatments again in Jan., it may be better to stay hormone free until then. You know your body best though. Do what you feel is right.
I'm not the biggest fast food fan, but I've been eating my fair share of McFlurries lately!

@SweetiePie: DH would just die if those words came out of my mouth!! DH loves Taco Bell!!

Nothing too noteworthy going on over here. I finished a round of 50 mg clomid over the weekend. I should ovulate this weekend-ish. Hopefully now that both tubes are nice and clear, this will be IT!! It's so difficult to be optimistic, though. Hopefully my endo doesn't grow back too quickly.
My fav take out is pizza. I could eat pizza every day for every meal. I've never met a pizza I didn't like!!
@Winnie13: Wishing you the best of luck on Wednesday!!
@lazypanda: I'm in WI and we don't have in-n-out here. I've only had it once while visiting a friend in Cali - it was DELISH!!
@Crystal: What kind of treatment are you starting in Jan? I'm with winnie13, maybe it's best to be med-free until then?? In case anything wonky happens. We've been on this journey so long
@Bibliolove: Is your OB opposed to you trying letrozole/femara? It's supposed to not thin your lining as much as clomid can.
@MaryM: Good luck today @ your consult!
@SweetiePie: Are you doing the same protocol for this cycle?
Happy Monday, ladies!

@lazypanda: in n out is so good, I would list it as my fave if it was on the east coast at all!
@Winnie13: Good luck on Weds, friend. As always I'll be lifting you up in prayer
@doxielove: New protocol! Doing microflare protocol this time. Microdose lupron, gonal-f, menopur. Very curious to see what it does!

@doxielove: yes, I will talk to an RE probably after the holidays. I feel like they can hopefully run a few more tests that my OB won't do, and we can get some answers before I attempt any interventions. I will call for an appt sooner, depending on our SA results! Good luck this month, knowing the tubes are nice and open must be a good feeling!

I was able to talk to my doctor today, and she was nearly as confused as me.
She confirmed that I HAD ovulated before I had my blood drawn (I wasn't sure because of some potentially fertile mucous after that date, and then the fact that I had an 18 day LP if I IDed it correctly...but I also have low P so why would I have a long LP?)
But she also confirmed my chart was really confusing and a mess this month. She suggested I start taking B6 again to hopefully help my mucous out so that I can better tell when it's fertile and not (I don't get EWCM much...usually more of a gummy texture. But the charting method I use goes into a lot more detail)
I'm going back on HCG shots for now to hopefully get my body back in some sort of rhythm. We won't really be TTC until probably January since i'm having my gallbladder out at the end of Dec., so we'll discuss femara then.
I'm REALLY hoping that the HCG will get me back into rhythm because my surgery is on Nov. 21. I'd love to be in the first half of my cycle during/right after surgery so I only have to deal with one painful/gross thing at a time.

@MaryM: not a good feeling when even the experts can't figure us out. surgery is creeping up so hopefully things get worked out by then.
@doxielove hi! Yay for both tubes cleared.
Nothing new for me this week. Waiting for the gluten to work itself out of DH to get normal sperm again. Makes me nervous to wait 10weeks if that isn't REALLY the cause. I'm so sick of waiting.
Heading to a college mini reunion with my girlfriends this weekend. We all started trying at the same time and they all gave birth to their second the same time I was due. I'm excited to see them but also dreading it bc 90% will be kid talk and I don't have much to input. I can only say "oh yeah my niece does this" so many times.
honeydew / 7463 posts
@LibbyLou: Oh the kid talk is the worst. I remember being miserable with all of our friends with kids at dinners and parties. They just went on and on and I remember one time they said "you're really quiet!" And I said "well I don't have a kid so it's not like I have anything to add."
It's for that reason that I try my hardest to not go into kid talk mode if there's even one person there without kids. I know how sad/frustrating/annoying it can be and I don't want to do that to someone else. Even if they aren't trying or anything! I have a friend who is kid free by choice and I just know she's probably bored by the kid talk. So I just don't.
I also think it's important to talk about other things, regardless!
Anyway - all of that to say I feel you and don't be afraid to tell your friends that the kid talk feels a little isolating.

@LibbyLou: Is there one person you're especially close to that you can ask to help you steer things away from kid talk when it's the whole group together?
Like if they want to talk to each other about their kids...fine. But if everyone is together and that will obviously exclude you, have a buddy you can try to work in new topics with?

@LibbyLou: oh man kid talk is the worst!! Even with family, I loathe kid talk. I like getting info and advice, which is why I like hello bee so much, but I dislike listening to personal cutesy stories and the endless pics. Partly because I am struggling too, but in general I find it boring. I'm sorry, I don't have good advice, just sympathy.
kiwi / 739 posts
@sweetiepie @MaryM @bibilove: all great ideas. I'll try my best to steer and hope my skin is thick! My IF isn't a secret but not all of them are extremely compassionate (don't mean that in a bad way!) but I'll try to kick the uber sensitive one under the table. It's a balance I feel like-two of them have health or behavioral issues with their kids so I just try to think they are feeling about those issues how I feel about IF. I just don't like to vent as much to normals.
