Weekly updates?

My fall decor is pretty simple. I've got a handful of pumpkins that I put out in the mantle and some Halloween dish towels.
I finally have an update! My home study has been finalized and we were approved!! Now it's a 27 day wait until our consultation with our clinic.

How is it already Thursday?!
I don't really decorate for Fall. I know that sounds crazy because everyone loves Fall but I just don't really get into it. I change out my candles to Fall ones and that's about it! I love decorating for Christmas though
No updates for me. I go on the 25th for my ultrasound and I still need to make an appointment for bloodwork. I'm having a hard time trying to get a decent appointment time.

@Leialou: That's so exciting, congratulations!! What happens once you have the consultation? Do you start to get ready for the transfer right away?
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@alohaorchid: I'm not 100% sure. I think if I'm cleared medically they will send us donor profiles to look over. This clinic only schedules transfers every other month. I'm hoping we can get on the list for January.

I just put up a string of pumpkin and ghost lights in my window. That's the extent of my fall decor.
CD25 and no sign of O for me...grrr

@Leialou: so exciting!!
So I adore Humans of New York on FB... I just saw this one and had to share. I'm crying at my desk and it really caught me off guard. I 'liked' it, which is my sort of passive-aggressive way of outing myself a teensy bit on FB.

ETA: in case you don't want to click over, it's a photo of a husband, and here is the text:
"We've been trying for a few years. We both want it very badly, but it's probably been hardest on my wife. It's her body and she's been the one that's had to go through all the treatments, so I think the failure hits her hardest. It seems especially unfair because she's the sweetest and most liked person I know. Sometimes it's hard to keep our frustration from becoming the focus of the relationship, but it's also brought us closer together and given us a shared goal. We've got another treatment in a couple weeks. It's a very advanced procedure and we're very hopeful about this one."
"Will you be OK whatever the outcome?"
"'OK' might be too strong a word, but we'll definitely survive."

@Shutterbug: thanks for sharing that. His last line is exactly how I feel.

How do I decorate for fall?
-I'll put something on the door. DH might put orange lights up for Halloween to attract the kiddos. This might be the first time we might get trick-or-treaters because we moved into a house with a neighborhood. Oh, I might try those Halloween silhouettes that was posted on a recent thread.
Updates: None really. Starting my stims on 23rd. ER will be early Nov probably. Then RE wants me to take a break before my FET which will be end of January. I was hoping the FET would be before Christmas but guess I was a bit too eager. With these dates, I can now schedule my Christmas vacation. I might have to find a office to check my suppression check while I'm away in preparation of FET. So need to start looking into an office that can do that. Should I call a fertility clinic and ask if they will do that? I am going home for Christmas so I'll know the area.
ETA: Ok, I called a local RE office and they should be able to fit me in.

@bluestriped bee: A fertility clinic will totally do your monitoring for you! I just had to schedule two u/s at a new clinic before my upcoming FET. Just ask if they do u/s monitoring (they should know what you mean) and then your regular doc should put in an order for you with that clinic.

@GreenThumb: Cool. Thanks. I called one and they definitely said they could do it.

We got pumpkins for the front steps and gourds for inside. Also I always hang up these old-school cardboard jack-o-lantern and skeleton cutouts that we had when I was a kid. Those are on our front and side doors. I also have my j-o-l candy bucket and and a black cat on our wood stove. And I have fall leaves and bittersweet in a vase on my kitchen window. Oh, and a couple of gourds and a straw pumpkin on our mantle. Hmmm… I didn't realize I decorated that much!
No big updates for me. Still on BCPs, acupuncture weekly, and starting Lupron injections on Saturday. Otherwise, excited to take a trip to visit my best friend next week!

@bluestriped bee: I hope January arrives soon. Maybe we'll both be going through an FET at the same time.

No decorations for us this year...although we might get a wild hare and cut Jack-o-lanterns!
Just waiting to go for my HSG in exactly for 1 week!
@Leialou: That's wonderful! I love hearing good updates from you! FX for January!!!
@Shutterbug: Aww...that's so sweet and so true!

@PurplePumps: I hope O comes soon! Will your next cycle be January...or February?
@bluestriped bee: The 23rd will be here SO SOON! Hooray for local monitoring working out.
@GreenThumb: Have a great trip!

@Leialou: That's so great! I'm glad the home study went well and you are approved. Here's to continued positive news with each and every step that gets you closer to your BFP
@alohaorchid: What's decent? I know for me b/w appts always fall in the AM and it's easiest to just get them out of the way.
@Shutterbug: Those words are perfection. Thank you so much for sharing this.
@bluestriped bee: January does feel far away, but this time of year always accelerates to January. At least you do have a schedule and you can plan accordingly. Sounds like you're getting everything all set up. I'm so hopeful for you
@GreenThumb: What's a "j-o-l candy bucket"? Enjoy your visit with your best friend! I wish I could schedule one of those kinds of trips myself...
@FliegepilzHut: I hope the HSG clears things out and makes room for success in your uterus!

I triggered last night and have my IUI scheduled for tomorrow AM. Both of my IUIs this time around have fallen on the weekend making it impossible to have the actual IUI with my doctor. Not that it really matters but we did get our BFP when we had our IUI with her last time. So I feel like she's good luck. Anywho - just trying to trust this process once again and still prepare myself for the what-if scenario. I will find out if we are pregnant about a week before both my birthday and my son's 1st birthday. So there's too much going on at that point to think about continuing to cycle. I feel like if this IUI doesn't work, we'll be taking a break from treatments for a while. Maybe even until next Spring.

@sweetooth: FX for success this cycle!
I keep saying HSG...actually it's a SHG (no dye, only saline; no XR, but ultrasound instead)!
nectarine / 2705 posts
@FliegepilzHut: Thank you! And yay - saline sonograms are way less complicated. I still think they can clear the way for success too

@sweetooth: All of the appointments are at weird times, like 6pm. I have to fast for 12 hours so I don't want to go without food all day. There was one 11am appointment that could have worked but I can't go to work after blood work so it would mean taking the whole day off. Ugh.
nectarine / 2705 posts
@alohaorchid: I could never fast until 6pm! Ugh - it's always a pain when you have to take a whole day off for something like this. I hope a magical, perfect-time appointment appears for you

No news this week. I started with a fitness program for 90 days in hopes of losing some weight, and a coach helping me along to keep me in check.
My pre-op appointment is 10/24 and I've been counting down since I got the appointment to 11/6. Took the week of work off after that to rest up. Surgeon recommended taking it easy for 4 days. Unfortunately DH can't take me because he just started a new job - I'm a bit bummed about it but my mom is going to take me and stay with me until he gets home. I don't know if the surgery will mess up my cycle or not but the surgeon said we can try right after I get my first period after she's done her work. FX that it's a normal month.
Anxious about it all, just want it done so we can go back to TTC.

@sweetooth: Thanks, me too! I've been checking the website and a morning appointment just came up for November 15th so I booked that one.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@FliegepilzHut: At this rate, I'll have one more cycle likely ending Dec sometime and would start BCPs at the end of that cycle and take it until I'm ready to start as soon as the New Year comes and new medical insurance kicks in. So I'll be itching to stop BCPs and start on Jan 2 lol.
@sweetooth: FX for your IUI!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@PurplePumps: Sorry, that was what I meant! I hope your cycle allows you to get started promptly in January!

@sweetooth: Heehee! "j-o-l candy bucket" my lazy way of saying jack-o-lantern

@Leialou: That would be so cool to be FET buddies!!
@FliegepilzHut: Yup, 23rd is almost here!!
@sweetooth: thank you! Good luck this cycle!!
@babycanuck: Sorry, what surgical procedure are you having? to you. Sorry your DH couldn't take you. Let's hope you'll be TTC soon after!
pomegranate / 3105 posts
@bluestriped bee: removal of my partial uterine septum. I've been anxiously waiting for the surgery for weeks!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@babycanuck: Oh, ok, it's almost here! Wishing you a speedy recovery!!

@bluestriped bee: FET buddies and then pregnancy buddies hopefully.

@babycanuck: Good luck with your pre-op appointment and the surgery itself. I hope that your cycle returns to normal ASAP and you're back to TTC in no time!
@alohaorchid: yay for 11/15! Wait, isn't that a Saturday?
@Leialou: @PurplePumps: @bluestriped bee: Thank you guys!
@GreenThumb: That's hilarious...I thought it might be some new, hip acronym I'm not aware of
