IF update from me, I just got back from my doctors appointment to find out the results from my ultrasound and bloodwork. Good news is that I don't have PCOS or any IF issues that are standing out.
The cysts I had last year have mostly cleared up. I only have one right now and it's 1.7mm, which is smaller than the 2.2mm I had a year ago. All of my hormone levels looked good, with the exception of prolactin which was on the high side. That could be related to stress, or something else but the levels weren't high enough to be alarming. He is going to have me redo it in 2-3 months.
I'm a little confused feeling right now. I know we have MFI so I understand why we are still battling IF, but I really thought there was something wrong. It seems weird to be wanting a diagnosis hey?!
ETA: my song on repeat right now is Waves by Mr Probz. Christmas music has slowlyyy been creeping in though!

Music on repeat? Not Christmas music lol just whatever is on the radio.
No updates other than my weirdo conversation with the surgeon I posted in the last thread, all is well in my world and just playing the waiting game!
Here's a non-IF question for the posters: If you were going to make a gift for your significant other for the holidays, what would you make?

@alohaorchid: Unexplained is kinda crappy. It seems like *something* should be wrong so there would at least be something to try to fix, so no, it's not weird to want some kind of diagnosis at all!
My current repeat songs: Jason Aldean - fly over states, luke bryan - roller coaster, and kenny chesney - you save me.

p.s. the unexplained thing totally sucks and if people here hadn't pushed me to go for a second opinion I wouldn't be where I am. Push your dr!!

@babycanuck: I would probably make something like a gift basket, which kind of isn't really making anything. Or a photo frame/album of our favourite pics/memories. Or a sexy coupon book.

@purplepumps: The thing that's making me wonder if there's something wrong is that my periods are short and light. I'm always very regular (every 28-29 days) with ovulation being on day 13-14 (confirmed with OPK's and temping). However, I was so convinced that I had PCOS because of my oily skin and pain during ovulation, one miscarriage and one CP, and of course I had cysts on my ovaries. But the cysts are gone, and my blood work was all fine.
@babycancuck: He wants me to redo the blood work to see if my levels have gone down. He also mentioned today that if we want to go ahead with treatments, he will recommend monitored cycles, Clomid, or Clomid & IUI... but then we run into the issue with my DH and no treatsments. So we're kind of nowhere with it all right now.

Nothing much going on here. I am at 7DPO. Been doing accupuncture for the past 2 weeks. Just waiting out this cycle so that I can start my IUI/Injectibles cycle!
Song: My DS is obsessed with trains right now and this song Little Red Caboose is running through my head constantly. It's very repetitive.

@alohaorchid: My periods are 3, maybe 4 days long. Some are heavier than others but for the most part I would say they're pretty light, and I was totally surprised with my diagnosis when I got it.
I know that things will work out for you - FX for your blood work and things are clear again, and that you guys can find something to help DH out with his complications.

I think that unexplained infertility is hell. If you have a name for your issue, you know what is wrong, and you know what options you have to try to overcome it. 'Unexplained' just means that medical science doesn't know what's wrong with you, and that's just obnoxious!
After 3 years of trying, me with unexplained IF and my husband with medium-terrible morphology, I'm finally pregnant with my second. Just found out this week. As usual, my BPF came after I had totally moved on from the idea of having more children - I was actually a little sad to see it, for a few minutes! Now I'm over it and thrilled, so hopefully it'll stick and work out.

Yes, I definitely think this group is getting smaller. I guess there are lots of people getting pregnant, so that's good!
We had our IUI on Monday and I suppose it went fine. But, we found out that DH's number had gotten worse since the last time we checked in May. Figures, right? For our IUI in May I had awful progesterone and now that we've gotten it figured out on ME, DH's number are not good at all. ha!
I was feeling really sad about it on Monday, but there's nothing we can do about it. We'll still pray that it works, but this isn't our first "go around" that's for sure! Since it's been almost 4 years of TTC now, the TWW isn't really torturous anymore. We would love to be pregnant, but know that even if I never get pregnant, life will still be good. (It takes a LONG time to get to that point though).
Good luck to everyone else! And I have to admit, that if I DID have a song on repeat it would be "Shake it off". ha!

@Mrs. Pinata: FX for you! Do you think you will you try another cycle to see if DHs numbers get better?
@babycanuck: id probably make DH all his favorite baked goods with a travel mug with pictures of our life together.
I do feel like the thread is a lot smaller, or at least not as active (says a lurker and occasional poster, lol).
I guess I'll be the first to admit I'm listening to Christmas music pretty much non stop. I love this time of year.
I had an hsg done last Monday, and according to the person doing the procedure everything looks good except for a tiny cyst. My dr is supposed to call me to verify the results, so I should hopefully hear from him in the next few days.
DH had an SA early last week, so FX everything looks good.
We won't be able to afford to start anything until February or March, but I'm wondering if I should talk to my dr about using P now. He thought I might have an issue because even though I don't start spotting until right before AF, my temp drops significantly a few days before that.

I got a bfn this morning so just waiting for AF so we can move on to the IUI cycle. Not at all unexpected. But still stings a bit anyway. I still held a kernel of hope that we might get pregnant without intervention. Oh well.

@Crystal: Yeah, we'll definitely want to do at least 1-2 IUIs before moving on to something different. BUT, we might wait until the New Year. We were just SHOCKED to find out that our insurance will cover some IF treatment in 2015, which is a HUGE surprise to us and HUGE blessing as we've gone the majority of our marriage with either totally crappy insurance or even NO insurance!

Just dropping in to say I'm still here!! Just got AF the other day. Have to hold off on hysteroscopy due to schedule conflicts.

@Crystal: Yes, true. But, everything (including diagnostics) has been out-of-pocket so far, so this will be really huge for us! Honestly, it's just seriously unfair that issues with the reproductive system is considered "elective".

@sarac: Congratulations to you! It sounds like we have the same MFI issue so it's good to know there's hope.
@Mrs. Pinata: I think we do have a lot of pregnant bees who have graduated from us, which is awesome! I'm sorry about your DH's numbers not being great but hopefully the one you need was in there I know exactly how you're feeling about things, we have now passed the three year mark and I don't even think about the TTW anymore and I'm definitely feeling like either way, if we have a child or not, we're fine. I'm actually finding myself leaning towards the side of no kids, which is oddly enough giving me some kind of peace and clarity.
@Crystal: fx for good news from your doctor and your dh's test results! As for asking about progesterone now, it can't hurt to at least ask and see what your doctor thinks. GL!

It's hard, but also really freeing to come to that point. I hope and pray you will have a child soon, but it does take some of the pressure off to not NEED it so much. Hugs to you! 3 years is a long time!

@alohaorchid: Well, supposedly in this new cycle. I should get AF any day now and then we are supposed to start the injectables. However, I do have to have a hysteroscopy done on day 5ish and while it shouldn't impact the IUI cycle, if they find something else during that, it might. Like if I need to have a D&C, then we'd not be able to proceed. Fingers crossed that it is just a little, easy-to-remove polyp that doesn't affect anything.
