@Leialou: Woohoo! Sounds good. Bring on 2015!!
So my IVF coordinator emailed me a few days ago to ask me how many we were thinking of transferring and I told her 2! This is really happening soon! I'm getting really excited now and I'm still feeling good about the holidays.
Though, it's the opposite for the DH. He is usually the person who is more obsessed with Christmas and he told me yesterday if I noticed that he hasn't been into it. He said he really worried/stress/anxious about January and our FET. I guess I was trying to psych myself up to be distracted this holiday that I forgot to make sure he was okay. I assumed because Christmas is always big for him that it wouldn't be any different. Makes me sad that he wasn't able to enjoy this Christmas season. (Oh, I think there's family issues which is making this holiday hard for him, too.) We are going home next week and I'm hoping he cheers up soon.
So I'll have an baseline u/s and b/w on Jan 5th. Though, I've been trying to contact an fertility clinic in PA (called Shady Grove) and they always seem so confused when I tell them I'm from another clinic and all I need is an u/s and b/w. They do this all the time for their regular patients, is it really that hard to fit me in? I called them in November, too and they were suppose to get back to me. Annoyed. I'll call them again.
Anyway, injectibles start Jan 10th! FET should be around Jan 28th! Since this is my first FET, when do I POAS? I'm going to try to wait the normal TWW and put Feb 11th down as the big day!

@bluestriped bee: My RE tests 12 days after a 5dt (so 2/9 maybe?). Everything crossed for you in the New Year!!!

@bluestriped bee: FX for your FET! I hope your hubby can destress enough to enjoy the holidays.
I finally O'd CD39 this cycle, so expecting AF just before New Years. So plenty of time for my new insurance authorizations and to get meds during my 2 weeks of BC before starting Lupron for IVF round 2.

@bluestriped bee: that is so exciting! Everything crossed for your FET!!!
I got a very light BFP this morning at 10 DPO-a natural cycle with just progesterone. Terrified about how light it is- back to back chemicals would be too cruel.

@babycanuck: I'm sorry you're feeling down. Your ho ho no comment made me lol.
@bluestriped bee: I hope things start looking up for your DH.
We were supposed to have our first RE appointment on 12/23, but I cancelled it because they couldn't get their registration stuff together so I could get paperwork in on time. I'm not heartbroken about it because we already had one scheduled with a different RE on the 1/8, and I have a really good feeling about that doctor. We are currently trying to get medical records for the appointment.
I know it's a long shot but does anyone know if DH's SA would be in my file if my ob/gyn ordered it? Or would I have to submit one request in each of our names? The woman I spoke to in the records department said she had no idea.

@Hoots: It should be in your file since you're the patient and it has to do with your attempts, I know mine has DHs info in it

@bluestriped bee: That's exciting!! I hope you guys can still enjoy the holidays. Christmas can be really hard though when you're still in limbo.
@PurplePumps: Really hoping you get your BFP from your IVF in the new year!
@babycanuck: Ugh. I'm so sorry. This is an especially hard time of year to be infertile. And especially hard when DH is cranky.
@Hoots: That's a bummer you can't get the apt on 12/23. Are you still going to try to get into that RE as well? I think that's such a good idea to meet with both and see who you like!
@travellingbee: That's great news! I think 10dpo there would HAVE to be a light line, right? Since it's so early? I think being on the progesterone is doing everything you can to prevent a chemical. That's so exciting! Congrats!
I think it's a good idea to not check in on Christmas Day. Hopefully we can try to not think about IF at all that day. Right?
No IF updates here. Just in the 2WW.

@Mrs. Pinata: I'm a bit bummed and a bit relieved. Their office was making me anxious and stressed. We are going to wait until after the new year and the first appointment to decide. DH would actually like me to check into a different RE than the one I cancelled because it looks to be the only other program that has a comparable SART rate and it's closer to both of our offices and our home. Based on what everyone said about convenience, I'm definitely open to it. But in the few interactions that I've had with NHCRM, they've been absolutely wonderful so I'd really like to meet with them first. I'm afraid if I meet with the closer one first, DH will only want to choose based on convenience.
And in your TWW!
blogger / pear / 1563 posts
@Hoots: convenience is definitely a factor, but I would want to hear from both offices to hear what their plan would be, etc. I think its so awesome you have more than one option to choose from! Here there's just one clinic with mediocre stats, is super expensive and the Drs and nurses leave much to be desired. Haha

Checking in! Looking forward to family time this week! No major updates...but OPKs point to O last Monday so I'm 5dpo and in the TWW. Not holding out any hope for this cycle, but looking forward to the fact that I get to schedule my HSG once CD1 gets here. I am so sooo relieved to get this show on the road.
@bluestripedbee: I love reading your updates because we'll be a month or so behind you going through the same process! How exciting! Fx for a joyous holiday season and as stressless a January as possible....Eeeeee!

BFN for me. I'm not too surprised but I'm disappointed. The annoying thing I that about 7 dpo I had pretty strong cramps, which obviously were not AF cramps, so I was hoping they were implantation cramps. But no such luck. The upside is being able to drink on Christmas and New Years.

@bluestriped bee: Have you worked things out with Shady Grove yet? Normally monitoring appts at SG are only in the morning between like 7:15-9am (at least at my branch). Will you be able to run it through your insurance for any sort of discounting? Otherwise I think it's $15 for a blood draw, $80 for HCG test and $270 for monitoring ultrasound.

@Hoots: Oh thanks. Honestly at this point (arriving at the 4 year TTC mark this Christmas. Yay?) I would be beyond shocked to see a positive. It would be quite miraculous and awesome though if it happens! We're hoping to try one more IUI and then decide what to do from there.

I'm sorry I've been MIA since the check in! We had a busy weekend.
@bluestriped bee: with my first FET I didn't POAS. With the second I did 6dpt and got a . Everything is starting for you so soon!
@travellingbee: I hope this your baby #2!!
@Hoots: the RE will probably have your DH do another SA. His current one should be in your file though. My dh's were.

Here's my update:
I started Lupron today! I've got an ultrasound and bloodwork next Monday. I've got my FX that everything will look ok and I can move forward with my other meds. I'm waiting until then to make travel plans as well. My transfer is currently scheduled for 1/18.

@PurplePumps: @travellingbee: Thanks!
@babycanuck: Hugs!! Hope you are feeling better.
@Mrs. Pinata: I was feeling good until I saw some fellow IFer posting about their pregnancies. Why can't I be happy for them? I want to but all I think is when is it going to be my turn... I know one of these days, I'll be on that other side and someone here might be jealous at my success. IF is so hard. I'm hoping this is just a temporary Christmas blues that's related to the stress of packing and having everything ready for my trip back home tomorrow.
@sarahnicole218: Aww, thank you.
@momazon: No, not yet. My RE sent orders to both offices. I'm surprised no one has called me yet. I need to call them. Been so busy with work and all. I'm not sure what my insurance will cover. Good to know the prices for out of pocket.
@Leialou: Woohoo! Great news!!

@bluestriped bee: I'm so sorry. I think it's just too much sometimes. We went to a Christmas concert of some friends of ours (more like DH and the husband know each other through work/ministry stuff) who are also some of our favorite musicians. AND right there in the concert she announced her THIRD pregnancy (#2 is just about to turn a year old), so I was totally depressed during the first half of the concert. Aargh! I was just wondering when will I ever be able to be 100% happy and not jealous of others' pregnancies? The answer may be never and that might just have to be ok. Especially until you get pregnant yourself!
@Leialou: So exciting! I'm glad you have all these dates coming up for right in the new year!

To my fellow IFers - I wish you all a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate). I'm taking a short break from HB this week as I'm insanely emotional and I don't know how to keep it under control. Hope to feel better to check in over the weekend.

@babycanuck: If you ever need anything, feel free to wall me! Hope you are okay!! Thinking of you!!

@Mrs. Pinata: Ugh, it's sad to think that we'll always think this way. IF is so unfair!
blogger / pear / 1563 posts
@babycanuck: Oh man. I guess we're all losing it this week! This is definitely my most emotional and saddest Christmas so far and I'm sad to say my focus is on "just getting through." Hugs and prayers to you!!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@babycanuck: I'm not even sure why I logged in today either. I can't decide if I really wanted to see Christmas BFPs or not...as much as I tried to fight it, I am feeling extra emotional this week too.
Merry Christmas my IF friends, stay strong!

AF is here. I was hoping for a Christmas miracle. DH got sick during FW, so I am trying to believe that the interventions I have been doing are working, and God just knew it wasn't the right time. We have a lot going on, with closing on the farm in 5 days, renovating, etc. It's just hard.
blogger / pear / 1563 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Oh no! AF right at Christmas is a total bummer!! good luck and congrats on house closing and prayers for you as you're feeling sad. Hang in there.
