I'm going to ask my RE about this as well, but I wanted to poll you ladies too...
The plan is to start stims at the beginning of Feb with an estimated retrieval date of Feb 12-15. Hopefully we will have something to xfer this time, and the TWW will end around Feb 26-28. If it were to be a BFP, would you go on a trip overseas (Greece) at the end or March? Or do you think that would be too risky and early to travel? And if it were to be a failed cycle, would you (assuming it was ok per the doctor) go right into another cycle? Are there any guidelines for back to back cycles? ( ie natural cycle in between, BC cycle...)

@TheSwissWifeStyle: Congrats!
We got a puppy this weekend... so whatever happens with adoption at least I'm able to do some nurturing.

Its been a very long road for us. Heading to CCRM in Denver for our second egg retrieval. We are doing three to maximize our odds. Have a 2 year old at home from first try of IVF but still feeling anxious about the whole process. Just trying to stay positive and hope that there's another miracle out there for us.

@Shutterbug: We've been calling him "Gus Gus"... On his papers it says "Gustav"... but yeah, he's a little Angus.

@Mrs. Jacks: love it! My dog is Angus but we mostly call him Gussy.

@Mrs. Jacks: awww, love those big sweet eyes.
@Lilysmama: Was your first from CCRM also? I've read a lot of good things about CCRM. Good luck this cycle!

@PurplePumps: I don't think it would be too risky to travel, but it just might interfere with dates they'd want to do ultrasounds (like the 8 week scan). But hopefully they could just work around you! The only thing that would maybe drive me nuts would be if your first ultrasound at 6-ish weeks or so didn't show a heartbeat, but then you had to leave for your trip before getting to do a later ultrasound to confirm everything was going ok.
For my failed cycles, I seem to remember that they started me on BCPs on day 3-ish once my period returned after stopping the progesterone. I would be on BCPs for 21 days, then have a bleed, then start the IVF cycle meds from there.

@PurplePumps my first was not at CCRM but was locally where I live. Its been a much longer road this time but let's just cross our fingers!!

@TheSwissWifeStyle: congrats! I still poke in to check on everyone here and am so happy to see your update! How are you feeling? What great news to start the day.
I was thinking of this group more than usual around the holidays. I remember it was such a hard time--we had a huge fight about how to proceed with treatments and my fantasy of sharing pregnancy news at Christmas was just that--a fantasy. Everyone was so happy and we were just lost. Holidays seem to really highlight difficult situations and emotions. I hope the new year has brought new hope and energy for you all, and I look forward to seeing more happy announcements from everyone!

@Mrs. Jacks: He's a tri-color and about 6 years old named Ry. He's a really awesome dog even if he is a bit spoiled. The only downside has been health issues, which they all usually have by age 5ish.

@Hoots: sorry about the health issues
We picked this breeder because she's working really hard to breed for health. Gus' mom is still heart clear at age six, has perfect eyes. Her only issue is that her hips were a step down from excellent. His dad is similarly healthy.
What is Ry dealing with?

@Mrs. Jacks: He had a congenital knee issue that didn't manifest symptoms until 6 months. His mom and dad were retired because of it. It was his moms first litter. He had his knee reconstructed at 11 mos and just recently showed a heart mumur at 5.5 yrs. he's been to a cardiologist and so far there's no enlargement. We feel really lucky to have made it this far without one.

@Mrs. Jacks: cute!
The PIO injection wasn't too bad. I had DH draw a target area on me last night since I'm injecting myself.
After doing that I believe infertility makes us brave!

@PurplePumps: I think there's a thread on here where people have flown all throughout pregnancy. I'm not sure what I would do. The DH is in a wedding in Sept and *if* this FET works, I'll be about 30 weeks pregnant. Traveling at 30 weeks might be okay with a singleton, but if we have twins, I think it will be a no-go. Are you thinking about booking flights? Or are the flights booked already? Maybe ask your RE about what he thinks.
@Mrs. Jacks: So cute! The girls must love having a puppy around.
@Lilysmama: lots of luck to you! I have heard of CCRM on these boards and have heard good things.
@Happygal: thanks for popping in! So good to see you! Yeah the holidays were tough but I'm hopeful about 2015.
For my update, had my second shot of delestrogen. This shot didn't go as smoothly as the first shot. This time I shot it into my left butt and couldn't see very well. I think I need to bring a mirror next time. Anyway, about half way injecting, it got really tough. I thought something was stuck, so I pulled out the needle and stuck myself again. I could pull back this second poke but again it was super difficult to inject. I ended up injecting it all. Maybe I didn't warm it up in my hands enough. I'm more sore than my first shot.
In other news, I have strep. Monday night I flew from Philly to Seattle. My sister's baby shower was Saturday and it went well after some minor craziness during the setup. Anyway, I got home Monday night and felt really sore when I laid in bed. I thought I pulled something lifting one of the bags, so I took a Tylenol and went to bed. Then yesterday (Tuesday) I woke up still sore and took another Tylenol so I could go to work. Got to work and around 10, I noticed I had the chills and a possible fever. I called the DH to come pick me up. Thought I had the flu and I know it's better to Tamiflu (anti-viral for the flu... It also helps you recover from the flu a little quicker) within 48 hours of the start of symptoms. So off to urgent care I went last night. Good news is that it wasn't the flu and it's step. So I'm at home today in bed resting.

@bluestriped bee: I'm just in the initial thoughts and planning stages right now, nothing purchased yet. If we could just get pregnant the "normal" way, I'd had gone ahead and booked, but with IVF, I'm more hesitant to be away after a transfer without clearing 1st trimester unless doc says ok. I was planning to ask her when I talk to her about when to start med, which should hopefully be wiht in the next 2-3 days!

@PurplePumps: yeah, IF sucks! Hope you get to go with very little disruption to whatever happens. Fingers crossed you get a BFP!
