Bloodwork for me today had my numbers at 312 - I don't know what's good and what's not, but I'm just happy they're going up.
Still praying!

@babycanuck: congratulations! It sounds like they doubled, which is great. How many DPO are you?
pomegranate / 3105 posts
@Leialou: Honestly I have no idea...I thought I ovulated a week later than I normally do, according to FF, and totally didn't think it was my month.

@babycanuck: I'm so happy for you!
As for me, we've got seven days until the Csection. Mr. Jacks and I went out for a fancy dinner tonight... (Someone gave us a gift certificate!). It was so nice to relax without the girls and write out the to do list.
Busy weekend ahead!

Hello!
It seems like far too much is new and I'm starting to feel very overwhelmed. I have my first u/s on Monday to make sure everything looks good to move ahead with this cycle. I just have a bad feeling about this. I started bcp the day my period was due, on January 29th. I had very VERY light bleeding for 4 days and never really got a real period. Then, two days ago (Thursday), I started my period...I think. I have had pretty bad cramping and plenty of blood. But I just have this weird, and unnecessary, feeling that all of this blood is actually a miscarriage. I took like 8 pregnancy tests last week/weekend, all negative, so I know I'm just being crazy. But it's all just such weird timing.
On top of that, I feel like DH and I were led to believe that our IVF cycle would be entirely covered by insurance. Now I know that we still are lucky to have coverage at all, but we were recently told we'd be responsible for $3,500. Ok, we'll take out a little loan, we'll make it work. Then the pharmacy called and before they could ship, they needed to secure payment for our 20% of the meds. Umm....$1,300!! That's with insurance coverage? We were not prepared for that. I know we're lucky to have coverage at all, but we were misled on what our coverage would be, so we're feeling a little frustrated.

@babycanuck: Woohoo! Yup, my RE said as long as they doubled or increase by 50% then they are happy with it!
pomegranate / 3105 posts
@sarahnicole218: I'm sorry you're feeling this way Has the RE said anything about the bleeding? Have you gone to them for testing?
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@sarahnicole218: sorry, that is frustrating to think you have coverage but not. I would call your insurance to get more details on what is covered and what is not. Make sure you have to stay in-network or something. I don't have IF coverage so it's all been out of pocket for us. Luckily, we have ways to pay for it but it does make me sad that we are using money that could be put towards a down payment towards our first house. It was hard at first and I was mad and bitter at the world that I had to pay so much, but I'm pregnant now, so it worth it so far. Im happy that I shouldn't have to pay for anything ivf related anymore. I'm moving on to pregnancy related things! Woohoo!

@babycanuck: Well, my appt is Monday morning, so I will definitely bring up my concerns and hopefully get some answers. I never called, because I just kinda chalked the period up to my body needing to shed the lining that it never fully shed last weekend. It didn't cause me much concern until last night...and I don't really know why. Too much googling I suppose...freaking myself out!

So my update is my beta yesterday (9dp5dt.... Similar to 12 DPO) was 584! Up from 213 on Wednesay (7dp5dt...similar to 14DPO). Next up is my 3rd and last beta on Sunday then ultrasound is schedule for the 16th. Can't wait to see how many gestational sacs we have in there!

@sarahnicole218: don't google!! worst mistake ever! fx you get the answers you want Monday
@bluestriped bee: woo woo!!! grow embies grow!

@bluestriped bee: I'll echo what @babycanuck: says...Grow embies, grow!
Also, @babycanuck: I think your numbers are looking good! So happy for you!

@sarahnicole218: Who is giving you this insurance information? Is it the doctors office running the authorizations or the insurance company? When my doctor office financial planner told me the cost (supposedly in from the insurance company), she had lead me to believe that I would be responsible for almost 2k. But when it was finally billed through insurance, it turned out that the negotiated rate was only half of what she had told me and I was only responsible for a copay. Unfortunately, sometimes, you just never know until it's processed, for some reason no one know what they are talking about and can give you a straight answer! It's so frustrating.
@babycanuck: omg! BPF!??! I totally missed this somehow, congrats!!
@bluestriped bee: Nice numbers!!

@babycanuck: I missed your BFP but congrats!! Very exciting!
AFM, we are still in a holding pattern. Just started this cycle, and we are waiting until next cycle to start Clomid. Two of our best friends had babies in the last two days. I'm caught between being jealous and sad and being excited that I will get to hold a squishy baby again.

Back to limbo again here. Our last cycle got cancelled due to another huge ovarian cyst, and so now I'm on birth control until March.

@babycanuck: @sarahnicole218: @PurplePumps: thanks!
@jaguar: Oh. I'm so sorry! Big hugs to you.

@jaguar:
I've had a pretty crappy week. Among other things, I'm pretty sure I haven't ovulated yet, and I have make an unexpected solo trip out of state this week. I took an OPK I had left over just to see and it was more blazing positive than normal. Maybe I'll get lucky and ovulate before I go or shortly after.

@bluestriped bee: yay! Grow, embies, grow!
@babycanuck: I missed your BFP! Congrats!!!!
@Mrs. Jacks: how exciting! How much left do you have to get done?
@sarahnicole218: that sounds so frustrating, ugh. I hope your dr can shed some light, and you get a clear answer soon on the billing!
@jaguar: I am so sorry, friend.
I just found out that my dr was able to receive authorization for my hysteroscopy under regular insurance, instead of coding it as infertility, so it will be covered!!! I am so happy! We were able to schedule surgery for feb 20th.

@Hoots: I hope the timing works out- I hate when my body is wacky and throws things off.

@Crystal: Woot on the insurance coding!!!! That's awesome.
On a side note, I may have had too much wine tonight. I suppose it's one of the perks to being not KU. I also randomly came across this today, which made me laugh really hard: http://www.noneintheoven.com/

@Hoots: I keep hearing about that series- I'll have to check it out!
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Crystal: well, I've been on service for the last 21 days so we haven't done much! We realized today that we don't have an infant car seat anymore :o
We still need to get a birth mother gift and secure babysitters for while we're at the hospital. We don't have any diapers or formula or a pack n play. But even if the baby has to sleep in the laundry basket, we'll make it work!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: lol! Good thing you went through your list! Did you decide on a name yet?
persimmon / 1259 posts
@Hoots: Hugs! Also, I'm going to have to check out that series!
@Jaguar: That's frustrating, I'm sorry!
@PurplePumps: It was the doctor's office financial adviser, who supposedly talked to my insurance company. I'm going to call our insurance's infertility rep to try to get some better answets tomorrow morning!
@Crystal: Thank you...and I'm excited for your recent insurance discovery...what a relief!
@TravellingBee: Hugs...totally know the feeeling. Fx this next cycle is YOUR sticky bean!!!
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Crystal: I think we're going to have to see the little guy. I'm stuck on one name and Mr. Jacks on another so we're either looking at a compromise which neither of us want to do or something completely new.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
So today's 3rd and final beta was 1413! Today is 11dp5dt or 16 DPO. Little one(s) are doing well.
With today's numbers, I'm going to call my OB tomorrow and see when they want me to come in. Other than that, I'll have to wait til the 16th to have my 5 week ultrasound at my RE. Wondering how many sac(s) we'll see.

@babycanuck: Sending good thoughts your way. I remember you thinking this was not the month. My temps have been a little wonky, so yours gives me hope. Did you use any interventions this cycle?
@sarahnicole218: Hugs! So annoying when you're led to believe something and find it is more expensive!
@travellingbee: Two babies? That sounds really hard. Hoping for a sticky baby soon!
@jaguar: Hugs and prayers!
@Hoots: It is so hard when fertile window doesn't work well with trips and such. For the first year of TTC, DH lived 1.5 hours away during the week, and it was so stressful to coordinate BD times with O.
@Crystal: Yea for hysteroscopy coverage! Thinking of you.
@bluestriped bee: So glad you're pregnant! I'm excited to hear about your ultrasound.
AFM- CD20. I think I O'd on CD15 (CM and that I always O then). FF says I O'd CD17. Our timing if CD15 is o-4, 0-2, and O-1. If CD17: o-4, O-3, and O-1. We've been working on the never-ending list of things to do for the farm we just bought. We have meetings with contractor, heating, sunroom, etc. and there are so many options that it is overwhelming. It's super hard when I am such a perfectionist and want to do everything perfectly. Our contractor said the renovation will probably finish October-December. If this is the cycle, I'd be due in late October. I'm trying to use this as a way to soften the blow if I'm not pregnant- that it would be really challenging timing. Of course, we all know that if I get a BFP, I'd be thrilled and will figure out a way to make it work. Also, I turn 35 next month. My birthday has never been that big an issue, but this one is the big "fertility drops so much" and this is the first birthday where I haven't accomplished something I really wanted.

@bluestriped bee: So happy to hear you had great beta numbers! I totally rooting for twins for you!

@bluestriped bee: sounds like twins! I'm going to start calling you fertile myrtle! I couldn't be happier if it was happening to me!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@bluestriped bee: squee! Congrats!
@Mrs. Jacks: I hope your name wins! get any shopping done? Are you having a "sprinkle" or shower?
@sarahnicole218: it truly is a relief! Please report back tomorrow with what the infertility rep says!
@AmeliaBedilia: you have accomplished lots this year with the house and participating on that conference committee! I can completely relate to the struggles with TTC overshadowing other things, though. Don't stress about age, it's not like a drastic drop happens the day you turn 35. I really hope you get your baby soon. ️
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Crystal: we ordered a car seat online. We forgot that our town basically shuts down on Sundays, so I'm a little angry with myself that we didn't get a ton checked off the list today.
I did drink some wine tonight and that was nice... But with four days left I need to be more productive! I only have four work days to tidy all my work too. Aaah! And all this for something we're not 100% sure will happen.
pomegranate / 3105 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: No interventions...FF told me I O'd a week later than normal and I hadn't seen DH for a week so I was like F it! If I did actually O when I normally would, we dtd 0-5, 0-3, 0-2 and 0-1. I totally put my bum on a pillow, not that it would make a difference!
