I LOVE Friday the 13th. In my family, we've always kinda "celebrated" it. 13 is a good omen for me, typically. Tomorrow is my beta, so I hope my lucky 13 trend keeps going. So get this: started stims for IVF on Friday the 13th in February, 13 days later I had my egg retrieval, 13 days after ER (yesterday) I took HPTs and got ...so tomorrow is Friday the 13th and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for my beta number.

@travellingbee: Good luck!!
@sarahnicole218: 13 is definitely your number tomorrow!
AFM, I am 3 dpo but not holding on to any hope this cycle since we only hit O-2. Waiting for my obgyn office to open so I can schedule some blood work for my RE.
Question - did you bring your dh to your first RE appointment? Or will it not be necessary? Can I expect to get started with a plan right away, or will it take some time? I will be CD 5 or 6 the day of my appointment.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@MrsKRB: yes, DH came and I felt it was important because we were discussing our next steps and plan. The doctor wanted him to be there, as he is very much a part of the plan.
persimmon / 1259 posts
@MrsKRB: Thank you! DH did not come to my first RE appointment, but I kind of would have liked it if he did. We started talking about next steps and what our options are and I expressed how I felt about IVF vs. more IUIs (medicated). We didn't commit to anything, so it wasn't like he HAD to be there, but it would have been nice if he was. Once we committed to the IVF procedure though, he came to every appointment except for one of the monitoring ultrasounds.

@sarahnicole218: That is SO unbelievable and exciting! I can't wait to hear how your betas go tomorrow! you deserve it

Not too much here. AF came on Tuesday, so I'm CD3 right now. My OB had said that I could do another cycle of letrozole while I wait for my RE appointment, so I'm doing that. I start the pills today and through CD7. If I don't get KU this cycle, I might take someone's suggestion from yesterday and see if I can get my day 3 bloodwork done prior to my RE appointment on April 30th.

@NorthStar: yeah, my follicles seem to be responding well, I think! They're going to do another ultrasound on Friday and see if we are ready to trigger yet. That will be cd12. If we trigger on Friday, I assume we will do the IUI Saturday or Sunday.

@travellingbee: oh yay! When will the IUI be? I wasn't sure if you could get them done on the weekend or not..
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@NorthStar: yeah my RE is open every day except Christmas.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@MrsKRB: Yup, I brought him. She asked him a bunch of stuff about his family history that I may not have been able to answer, it gave him the chance to ask questions, and to hear out what she had to say. I think it's definitely good for him to be there and be part of the process to help make more informed decisions if needed.

@MrsKRB: Thanks for asking this question! I wasn't even considering having him come, but after everyone else's responses, I think that I will.

I'm -4 days from transfer (all going well) and they're hopefully thawing my day 1 embryos as we speak.... so frickin' nervous!

@MrsKRB: yep! I brought DH. It was nice for him to hear it from the Drs own ears.
@sarahnicole218: eek! Good luck!
@jaguar: fx for you!
@NorthStar: good luck with the
letrozole!
I had an appt with my OBGYN earlier this week- we went over the results of my hysteroscopy. He says my uterus looks perfect, and feels really good about starting me on clomid next cycle.
I can't wait!

Thanks for the replies! Dh has jury duty that day, but hopefully he can get out of it.
@jaguar: so nerve wracking, but the best of luck you!!
@sarahnicole218: good luck on your betas today!
@Crystal: I hope Clomid works for you!

@jaguar: everything is crossed for you!
@Crystal: Great news!
Heading out for follie scan! FXed!

9DPO here. This cycle is HSG/progesterone. DH's SA should come back any day. I'm supposed to get a prolactin level drawn, but I'm not sure if progesterone supplementation would affect that. If so, I will wait till next week. My temp is up today, but it might be since I slept in. Fingers crossed!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
Well...only 1 follie matured. I have 1 at 18mm and 3 at 12. They are going to give me 2 more days to see if we can get those other smaller ones to catch up. I just hope I don't surge before then! So fingers crossed that my body cooperates and we can get an extra egg or two!! Right now I have a flashy smiling face on the OPK. And sore boobs. But the flashing can go on for a long time for me (5 days sometimes) so who knows!

Here's my chart. I slept two hours later this morning. HSG was CD10.

Beta was 188 today, the doc said it was great! I'm 10dp5dt, so I don't know...obviously, the biggest thing is the doubling number, so I go in Monday morning for a repeat draw. Eek!!

@AmeliaBedilia: I would be OVER THE MOON if you were graduating with me. I am crossing everything! In my book, Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day, which did carry through today for my beta! So I'm hoping your temp rise is lucky too! Of course, stay realistic and remember your temp can be different at a different time...but I'm anxious to hear what tomorrow does for you!
nectarine / 2465 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I think your chart looks great! Are you going to test or wait for AF?
@sarahnicole218: congrats!
nectarine / 2192 posts
@MrsKRB: Thanks. I'm on progesterone (which could elevate my temps), so I have to test. My birthday is before I would normally test, but if it's a BFN, that will upset me all day. I'm leaning toward waiting til 13DPO.

@sarahnicole218: yay! Great beta!!! How many did you transfer?

@sarahnicole218: fantastic beta!

@AmeliaBedilia: your chart looks great! Hoping your hsg was helpful and this is your cycle!
AFM, still blinking smiley! So follies are still growing! So far so good! I think I'm responding better than she expected based on my FSH and AMH.

I took my temp at the regular time, and it's in range, and a half hour later an went up to 98.54. I'm still in the game, just need to wait and see. I'll take all the prayers I can get.

Off topic question, but one of my sister's classmates from high school is going through IF and lost her twin girls at 17 weeks. Do you think that I should reach out to her and let her know of this great support system on Hellobee? I hate to bug her, but maybe it could help?
