@lazypanda: what dpo are you on? I totally dreading and looking forward to a TWW with real hope again as it is a while since I've experience the roller coaster of 'am I....aren't I'

@Leialou: What are the vivelle patches for? Your poor tummy!!

@Leialou: What are Vivelle patches? What day are you now in your IVF cycle? Sorry about all the bruises! I remember that and felt like people would think I'd been beat up! So excited for you!

Hi ladies! Congrats to those of you on your BFP's! That's awesome!!!

Had my hysteroscopy yesterday. Not a great experience-the pain was unreal this time. A resident assisted my RE and OUCH! I was pretty much a big baby by the end and was moaning and groaning and squeezing my husband's hand like there was no tomorrow. But all looks good. I will start BCP's in less than 2 weeks, then start IVF meds a few weeks after later in June. Retrieval/transfer about a month and a half away!

@Sunshine1810: As you know from the other thread, I suggest transferring two. But ONLY if you are definitely OK with the idea of twins which you said you are. Oh and how exciting about your new puppy!!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers and crossed fingers! I am unsuccessfully trying to pass the time without obsessing-my mind is all over the place today!

@sunshine1810 - I'm the same way, I'd let a dr talk me into anything. I'm too passive aggressive, but stay strong-it's your family and your body and your money. I think our guts are usually always spot on!

@lazypanda - complain away friend! This stuff is so hard! I hope that your system is just taking a while to build up!

@snowdrop - I'm doing well! Driving myself crazy while waiting for the next beta obviously, but I can't complain. I haven't heard about hcg for luteal support only to trigger ovulation - is that what it is for?

@Snowdrop: @Jenn23: they are estrogen patches. My dr prefers them over oral meds. I'm about two weeks away from embryo transfer.

Hi everyone! I love how big this check-in thread is getting, but man, if you are away for a while there is no way to catch up! I'll jump in to the next one, but I just wanted to say hi now that I'm back from vacation.

  9. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@EmilyE: no I ovulate consistently on my own, just not very well, my progesterone levels are too low to confirm O but U/S shows definite ovulation. The hcg during the luteal phase makes the corpus luteum produce more progesterone and oestrogen just like if you were pg and supposedly that will have a positive effect on the next cycle too causing an upwards spiral of better cycles . But it's really hard to find much about it...

Hi ladies! I've been mostly avoiding HB since we had a loss last month, and are now taking a month or two break before I'm ready to dive back into all the RE appts, injections, etc. But I just wanted to pop in and show my love and support for you all. I hope things are going well for you, progress is being made and spirits are up.

@Kelli_Deluxe: This cycle that you got pregnant, were you doing clomid with TI? Or IUI?

Hi girls. I've posted this on another thread, but I'd like to share here in case anyone is interested or in case anyone can offer me some insight or support.

So here's my report back from my WTF fertility consult today:

    1. DH's SA: The doctor wasn't concerned at all. She said things like "excellent, great, amazing." I've been feeling like the sky is falling because of 8% morphology but she was not concerned at all. (I hope she's right and not just a dingbat.)

    2. For me: She ordered CD3/21 blood work. She's also requesting an HSG from my insurance. I pray at least some of the HSG is covered. For girls who had to pay anything for the HSG, do you remember how much it cost?

    3. How to proceed: She said I could just keep trying since nothing seems to be wrong. Alternatively, she could put me on clomid for up to three months. This would be clomid with timed intercourse. She's confident about the good success rates with clomid. If I'm not pregnant after three cycles of clomid w/ TI then I would move on to an RE for IUI and whatnot.

I'm going to stick with my doctor as long as possible. If nothing can be found wrong, I'm hesitant to move to an RE and the stronger meds and the increased cost. I'd probably wait around a while and even look into different insurance that may cover it all. Or I'd cry to my mom for help paying for it.

Meanwhile, DH and I will be on all sorts of vitamins. And I might as well start seriously considering acupuncture.

@Snowdrop: Glad you had a good dr.'s visit! FX for you!

@Sprite: Very sorry to hear... Hope you're doing alright!

@Jenn23: @Leialou: It's very exciting to catch up on your respective cycles!

@lazypanda: She has arrived...I'm hoping that that will set me up perfectly for a baseline US Thursday! Still crossing fingers and toes for you.

@Sunshine1810: Hope your class tomorrow is a cinch!

@Sprite: I'm sorry to hear that. Hugs, sweet lady

@MrsMcD: None of the above! The cycle I got pregnant was my HSG cycle; this month would have been clomid + iui/TI, depending on the side of ovulation. As for your WTF appt, what are your thoughts on clomid + TI for you guys? I think that's a great option before jumping into an RE or iui's. I hope your HSG is partially covered; it's uncomfortable as hell but worth it for that added peace of mind look into your inner workings! And yay for vitamins!! I heart supplements

@MrsMcD: My HSG was on cd6 -- it's usually between day 7-10 but we were going out of town for Easter weekend and they were short a tech so they bumped it up. My period is short (4 days) so it was okay. My RE actually told us to hold off bc of the radiation but the tech and my other ttc group said it was okay, so we went for it!

@Snowdrop: I'm glad you had a productive appointment. I'm 13 days post IUI right now and tomorrow is when my RE said I can start testing (ha!).

@Jenn23: I'm sorry the hysteroscopy didn't go so smoothly. But FX for your next step!

@Leialou: yikes! It sounds like you get poked and prodded a lot with IVF. I hope Friday's bloodwork is good as well!

@MrsMcD: Sounds like you had a pretty productive WTF consult. One of my friends went to her OB and she got her BFP on her first cycle of 50mg clomid and TI, no monitoring whatsoever. She's now in her 2nd trimester and expecting a . Good luck!

    @Kelli_Deluxe: I hope you're doing well!

@Sprite: I'm sorry about your loss. I hope you're getting pampered during this time.

@FliegepilzHut: Boo to AF but yay that you might be able to immediately jump into the next cycle with this week's consult!

@MrsMcD: you're welcome! I'm sorry I did not catch it before! Usually, I'll flip through the various screens trying to see if there are any updates to add to the list. Makes it easier to be able to support everyone on here!
