Today is CD3 and I'm going in this afternoon for my baseline ultrasound to FINALLY get my first IUI cycle started!! I'm excited and anxious

Do you have a time limit on how long you'll ttc?
Until it works? If we have to end up going as far as IVF, it will just depend on what we can handle financially at that time.

If things don't work out with your current treatment, what is next? A second IUI I guess?

How does your dh feel about infertility?
Optimistic

No! I think it's weird... (sorry to those who do).

Do you have a time limit on how long you'll ttc? Probably no more than 2 or 3 IVF cycles. We are at the beginning of our first IVF now and at age 37, we don't have too much longer to try.

If things don't work out with your current treatment, what is next? 1 or 2 more IVF cycles, then maybe adoption.

Do you already have names picked out for your future children? Ideas but nothing set in stone.

How does your dh feel about infertility? Of course he thinks it stinks but he focuses more on what's next or just trying to keep me positive.

Do you use the term "furbabies" for your animals? No

Just had a monitoring visit & we are a little worried about whether my smaller follicles can catch up to the leader & possible low # of mature eggs. Hoping for better news on Saturday when I go back.

Do you have a time limit on how long you'll ttc?

I don't know. I think if it doesn't happen within the next year or so we might just continue to keep trying without intervention but start looking into adoption.

If things don't work out with your current treatment, what is next?

Right now I think we will do at least one more IUI, and start talking about IVF. I don't think we will go past one round of IVF because of finances.

Do you already have names picked out for your future children?

DH and I have talked about names, but we won't seriously start considering any until we know we are having a baby or adopting.

How does your dh feel about infertility?

He hates it, but he is much more relaxed about it.

No

- I don't think so. Maybe we'll stop if we run out of embryos, but it's not something we have talked about.

-Adoption

-Yes, we have one boy name and two girl names picked out. We're working on a second boy name, but it's tough!

How does your dh feel about infertility?
-Our issue is male factor, so he has a lot of guilt

-Only online. I tell them they're my babies IRL.

If things don't work out with current treatment what is next? Rhis was my first IUI cycle soooo I'm thinking 2 more........but I'm soo hopeful on this one!!!!

Do you already have names picked out? Yes, girl is Giulianna and boy will be a Jr. With the the intials A.J.

How does DH feel about infertility? He is super good, so positive and really cares, I think the more he knows the more he wants it.....I don't think he ever thought getting PG would be like this, bit ot has braught us sooo much closer!

Hi loves I hope that everyone is doing well. I'm 9+1, and I'm starting, maaaybe, to feel a little bit human again. We got to see the little bean this morning, and all is well. Still anxious, but trying to keep positive! We told siblings this week, which is making it real. Gah!

Do you already have names picked out for your future children?
-Sort of. I've had names I've loved forever, but they change a lot. I have a few I'm interested in now.

How does your dh feel about infertility?
-He has been as deeply affected by it as I have been. It's hard, because I don't think the worry, even now that I'm pregnant has been something he was expected.

Do you use the term "furbabies" for your animals?
-Nope! This is silly, but I call her the pup-a-lup. I have no idea why.

ETA: DH and I talked about it while we were trying for this baby, and we agreed that we'd keep trying, even if we lost this one. At this point, though, we'd probably have to take a good break, because I don't know how soon I'd be ready to try again. I still mentally think about when we're trying again (assuming we would lose this one). It's probably not a good thing, but at this point, it's kind of become a habit. I'm trying to break myself of this, though!

Do you have a time limit on how long you'll ttc?
No, but I'm honestly not sure how much more I can take. I am confident that I can get pregnant again, but I think another loss might be the end of it for me. I hope I don't have to make that decision.

If things don't work out with your current treatment, what is next?
More blood testing. IUI or IVF won't solve my issues.

Do you already have names picked out for your future children?
I have a list of names I like, just to keep them out of my head. But its not something we're willing to discuss until there is an actual baby.

How does your dh feel about infertility?
He doesn't say much, but has mentioned a few times that it makes him sad.

Do you use the term "furbabies" for your animals?
No, our only animal doesn't have fur Plus, not a fan of the term.

I've had a rough day! Today was Rosh Hashanah, which is a major time of reflection on the previous year, and the year to come. I had a hard time keeping my tears in at synagogue today. Definitely looking forward to coming home this weekend... Hope you are all well

Do you have a time limit on how long you'll ttc? We haven't discussed a specific length of time but we won't re-evaluate for at least a year, I feel like we are making progress with the ND and need to be patient.
If things don't work out with your current treatment, what is next? Not doing ART right now, just working with the supplements and it changes recommended by the ND for both DH and I. We may eventually consider a round of IVF but this will come down to finances.
Do you already have names picked out for your future children? No, I have a list of names that I like but I don't want to really discuss it until there is a baby to be named.
How does your dh feel about infertility? It has mentioned more than once how unfair it is He never thought we would be in this situation, no one in either of our families has ever struggled with IF

Had my RE appointment yesterday and wanted to wait until after to check in. It went well! The doctor was very nice and put us at ease. He wants me to do some day 3 blood work and an HSG. He doesn't believe my tubes are blocked from the pelvic infections I was diagnoised with several years ago. He thinks, like I have since those diagnosis, that the doctor could have been wrong or rushed, but the only way to know is the HSG. I think we are going to do it but we have to pay entirely out of pocket so we have to figure out if we want to do it now or in a couple months. So yay!

Do you have a time limit on how long you'll ttc? I don't want to go past 33, that's six years from now but I think finances are going to play a bigger part in determining how long.

If things don't work out with your current treatment, what is next? We are not doing treatment currently but my doctor has high hopes for the HSG helping things along.

How does your dh feel about infertility? He is angry and frustrated.

Well I got my betas and got the call that I was truly not expecting.......I was waiting to hear it was negative or it was positive and I got...
Well its POSITIVE...BUT!!!!.....BUT??!?!?! my levels are very low only an 8 she explained anything over a 5 is PG sooo I am, but to be cautious, I go back Tuesday to make sure they go up!!!!!

Ahhhhh.......lol

I'm sorry I will try, hubby is very optimistic and wants me to take a HB break.....lol

@spaniellove: yes, he is soo supportive and just wants me not to worry! We are doing dinner on way :)))) Thank you and I will take your advice,our baby is BEYOND loved!!!!

Thanks ladies! The rest of the trip turned out to be good, we spent Friday at a beautiful beach, then had a yummy BBQ send off party on Saturday. And now we're home and exhausted

@LovelyPlum: Having an FSH that high at my age means either it was just a random fluke after the m/c and coming off Estrace at the same time, or premature menopause is around the corner!

@LovelyPlum: The worst is that because of the high FSH I have to take Estinyl (a form of estrogen) for several days to bring it down and keep my follicles suppressed a while longer, but it's giving me the worst migraine and nausea/vomiting. I had to call my clinic and tell them I'm not taking the last dose. It also made me realize I'll probably end up with hyperemesis like the other women in my family, which makes me not want to be pregnant EVER!

I have egg retrieval on Wednesday morning. At my appointment on Saturday the Dr. said we will be happy to get 5 eggs. With my age and FSH, 5 eggs would be reasonable, but I had just hoped somehow that we would get more. I am so nervous that they won't get enough eggs and that they won't fertilize. They may do a 2 day transfer . I have to let my worries go and just hope for good things. I would certainly appreciate prayers or good thoughts

If they do a 2 day transfer I am leaning toward transferring 3 (if we have that many) but I don't know that DH is on board yet. Otherwise we will transfer two.
