Nope , need to vacuum/mop plus we're still unpacking/redecorating a bit after our move to a new apartment. I would panic a bit but then give up and just open the door!
We are rarely guest ready these days alas... but I don't feel too bad about it. Kids are a great excuse!!

My house is in really bad shape for houseguests, but it's ok for drop by visitors. I am in the middle of a massive cleanout since the in laws are coming for Christmas. I realized that I am a borderline hoarder!

It's actually pretty clean!! Hubs went on a cleaning spree this past weekend so it's probably the best it's been since Xander was born! Besides some pine needles under our tree, I feel pretty good about the state of the house.

Yes! But only because our LO's bday party is on Saturday so all week we have been working really hard to keep the house in good shape so we don't have to do a lot of work on Saturday. The cleaning lady is coming that morning to do a thorough clean.

Aside from my husband's clutter things are clean. I somehow manage to keep up with the vacuuming, dusting, tidying up, dishes, etc. But that's because I'm completely Type A and NEED my house clean especially since we get a lot of visitors with our newborn.

If I knew they were coming over I would tidy a little bit (primarily sweeping the pet hair off of our wood floors and maybe vacuuming) but if they just popped in I would not be embarrassed. My husband is sort of a neat freak so we keep the house pretty tidy generally.

Absolute panic--- dogs that shed + toddler + hw floors = disaster. Plus DH's bathroom (which is our main floor bathroom) is perpetually gross. I'd need 30 mins to make it presentable with some rooms closed off hiding the chaos.

Our house is pretty neat/clean about 95% of the time. DH cannot stand a mess and will not leave the house without putting everything away. We clean once a week so it never gets too dirty and our nanny is great about cleaning up too.

If I had a 5 or 10 minute notice, I could tidy up enough to not be embarrassed. Most people understand having a toddler is like a constant tornado ripping through the house.

Mine actually is! I cleaned yesterday, we went to MIL's last night so we didn't have a chance to get everything dirty again and LO is still in his crib right now.

I could quickly pick up the toys and the dining room table, but I have a sink full of dishes (and no dishwasher) and need to vacuum. That wouldn't take long if I had at least 15m notice though

My house isn't awful, it's just my and LO right now (DH is out on business) so I pick up at night. I would be embarrassed at my kitchen, there are dishes in the sink. There are never dishes in the sink

I'd want to tidy a bit, but we try to keep the main room pretty clean - I feel a little bad if it's not, because our nanny spends the day there and I think of it a little like it's her workplace.

It's pretty good actually!
I'd want 5 minutes to run the vacuum, empty the trash and clear some clutter off the dining table (like breast pump parts on a drying rack, lol), but other than that we're good!

Panic for sure! Our house is a mess right now...we got back from holiday travels late Sunday night and I have been too busy/tired to clean it up. We have suitcases and other things piled in the living room!

Yep. I don't believe in dropping by unannounced, and neither do my friends and family. But 'guest ready' is a good way to describe the way I try to keep my house.

Nope! It never is. It's always cluttered - sigh. It's like the mad dash at the supermarket shopping spree to tidy up when we know guests are coming over.
