I just wanted to share this interview with Jimmy Fallon. Apparently him and his wife struggled with IF for 5 years and finally went to a surrogate. I think its great how honest he is being about what the struggle is really like.

I was just about to post this! I love it when celebs open up about their infertility.

I LOVE Jimmy Fallon. We were talking about him for a different reason this morning. I love the fact that they went through a surrogate but kept it under wraps until the baby was born. You know, they didn't blast it all over the news and get in your face about it all.the.time (hello, Giuliana Rancic).

I love the both of them, great couple. And I love that they've come out to share their story.

@Mrs.Someone: thank you for sharing! I saw a commercial about it yesterday and it made me cry. He said something like "if there's anyone out there who is trying and they're losing hope, just hang in there, cause it's so worth it." I'm just coming off my first failed IUI, so that really hit home with me.

@mediagirl: Not the biggest fan of Giuliana either but heck if a surrogate managed to get KU with our baby after all our infertility I'd want the world to know too! It might make up for my never getting to have a baby belly.

This is so sweet. And so true.
"I know people have tried much longer (than we have), but if there's anyone out there who is trying and they're just losing hope … just hang in there," he insisted. "Try every avenue; try anything you can do, 'cause you'll get there. You'll end up with a family, and it's so worth it. It is the most 'worth it' thing."

@jmarionsmith: I watch their show for laughs. My DH just sits nearby on his computer and goes, "she's so annoying" just by listening to her.

@mediagirl: Guiliana and Bill had a reality show before her bout with cancer and before they knew they would have fertility issues. I wonder if they knew all these challenges they would face if they would have gone forward with their reality show. I agree they are a bit too public with their lives- hello Today show updates, but that was their truth.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: an annoying one they put out there in everyone's faces as often as possible.
@jmarionsmith: nope.

I heard about this last week but couldn't find anything to confirm they had IF. Glad they came out. I do love when celebs come out to show that they struggled. It shows us that they are people, too, just like us. If it takes Fallon and Guilana to show awareness to IF, I'll take it!!
As I've seen with IF, some of us struggle privately and some more publicly! We've been through so much crap so I completely understand wanting to keep this private or public. We need support either way. It's all based on how comfortable you feel. I used to be quiet and sulk in my grief but it started taking a toll on me. I opened up to my FB friends and it was completely overwhelming how my friends supported me. Now, I'm still quiet about it but I like knowing that at the time in need I had friends thinking of me.
