R usually spits up when she burps so she makes more room in there so I try to feed her a little more. She will turn away or start chewing on the bottle nipple when she doesn't want anymore. You might want to try?

@swedishfish: thank you. That makes sense. I supplemented anyway and she took the full 2oz without spitting up any more so I guess she needed it!
