...do you still wear heels? I'm on the taller side (5'9" ish) and my DH and I are within an inch of each other height wise. I've never been much for heels but I'm dying for some booties and those are hard to find without some heel. DH may just have to handle me looking a smidge taller than him this fall/winter

We're still about 3" apart, but when I do wear heels we're either just the same height or I'm slightly taller. Ha! He doesn't mind too much and mostly just laughs if I tease him. I don't typically wear super tall heels anyway.
I did buy booties last year that are probably 1.5"? I mean I mostly wear them for me and most people don't really notice, so it doesn't matter if I'm the same height or taller!

@Mrs. Pen: @mrs.shinerbock: I've always been slightly insecure about my height. I've never really worn shoes with much of a heel because I already felt that I was much taller than everyone else. But as an adult I'm seeing how limiting that is! I just wanted to know how other taller ladies felt.

@Mrs. Sunshine: well I'm 5'11" and I totally get the insecurity about height. I was pretty conscious of my height compared to the guys I dated until I married DH. Now I've realized that it's more important for me to dress how I want and be confident in it than to care if the height difference is 3 inches or 5.

I'm a 1/2 inch taller (I'm 5'9") than my DH and I'll occasionally wear heels. Due to comfort, I usually never buy shoes with a heel that's bigger than 2".

@Mrs. Sunshine: I used to be more self conscious of my height. My height peaked in fifth grade, so I towered over everyone.
Now I embrace it and love being tall! An upside to being tall is I carry weight better
hahaha.

@Mrs. Pen: haha! When I was pregnant with my first, people kept commenting on how small I was, so at some point I asked my doc about it and he said "well you're tall so the fat just spreads out". I'm sure he could have chosen his wording better but I still found it funny!

I have the same dilemma, but the other thread about favorite clothing items just inspired me to go out and buy some booties for the first time ever. There were tons on Zappos/DSW with only a 1-2" heel.

My husband is about 2 inches taller than me (I'm 5'9") and I avoid wearing heels because 1. They're uncomfortable and 2. Since I am bigger than him so I feel even more giant! I have recently lost a significant amount of weight though, so I may try some booties this winter. Because, so cute.

If the shoe looks good and fits, I'll wear it. Im 6 foot, hubby is a few inches taller than me, and I will happily wear heels that bring us to an even height/me a tad taller. nice shoes trump husband egos.

We are about 2-2.5 inches apart and I don't wear heels. It makes me uncomfortable and I feel like a giant. But then, I feel like that anyways in heels. I'm only 5'7.5 and I still feel like I'm taller than most women I come across. And with heels I'm taller than many men too. I have one pair of wedges that I love the look of, but I feel self conscious all day when I wear them.

DH is the same height as me and in the beginning it bothered me to wear heels but now I don't care! I bought the cute booties with a lower heel (really all I wear anymore anyway) i just don't' wear super tall shoes.

I'm already slightly taller than my husband, and I'm not much of a heels person anyway. I have some heeled boots that I wear to work, but when I'm out with him and wear heels (usually just to a wedding) I feel a little uncomfortable about being so much taller than him.

I'm 5'5, my husband is 5'6, and I do wear heels occasionally that make me taller. We're both okay with it.

Nope, but more because of comfort than anything else! I have a few heels I'll wear for special events but by and large I wear flats or very low heels. I have some low heel booties

My husband is maybe an inch taller than I am but I am not a regular heels wearer. If we are getting dressed up, though, I don't hesitate. Height difference has never bothered either of us.

We're both pretty short. I'm 5'3 and DH is 5'5 - 5'6. I still wear heels, and he just deals with it. Hehe. I was nice and only wore kitten heels on our wedding day.

We are about an inch apart I'm 5'10 and I do wear 2-3 inch heals to dress up. The only time I didn't was for our wedding and that was more due to the hem of my dress then my husband's ego. My mom is 3 inches taller then my step dad and she wears heals when they ballroom dance, it's adorable watching my dad lead.

@wrkbrk: lol I've felt strange being significantly taller than many of my female friends as well, so I don't think that would matter at all! I'm sure it doesn't help that my best friend of 15 years is a good 4 inches shorter than I am, so it's kind of been a complex I have about all the people I'm close to I suppose!
