Aw, MAN! These things happen so infrequently, I hope people don't stop cruising because they're afraid something like this will happen! Cruising rocks!!

I love cruises but I don't think I'll be taking my kids on one any time soon. Can you imagine that situation with a baby?

Cruising and all-inclusive both seem like torture to me anyway. I like to be able to go where I want when I want!

Honestly, I might be watching out for some cheap rates soon! We live within driving distance of three ports so cruising is a great vacay for us!

We LOVE cruising!! Carnival has had some pretty bad luck in the past two years with the same issue. I can't imagine being stuck on a boat with all those people in those conditions...

The idea of cruising has honestly never appealed to me for many reasons, but I know a lot of people who love their cruises and swear by it!

I have a friend that was supposed to be going on that specific ship for a trip coming up..... it was cancelled b/c of the issues they've been having. Apparently about a week before the fire they had to re-route due to some other issues too. Might be time to retire that ship! lol

I keep seeing the news stories about this. I feel so bad for the people on board. BUT, it might be the perfect opportunity to go on a vacation with DD.

Last year I went on my first cruise (Royal Carribean) with my mom for her 60th birthday. We had a blast! We left from a local port, so all in all the cruise was a very affordable way to visit a couple beautiful countries.

That sounds like a terrible situation. I love going on cruises. I'll have to look out for sales emails from Carnival.

Love cruising - especially Carnival!
Don't knock it till you've tried it!

This has really scared me off Carnival cruises. I know it's an isolated incident, but I can't help it. I wonder if there will be some discounts on other cruiselines, though, like Disney
