Is it re-gifting if you give it to someone else? I ordered an outfit for LO and I don't really like it. I want to give it to my friend's LO as part of her bday gift since it seems more like her style.
DH says this is regifting!

I don't see the problem with it! At least it's being used instead of wasted.

I don't see anything wrong with that. Re-gifting to me is when you get something as a gift from someone else and then give to someone else.

We ended up with some gifts that were already to small for DS at the time we received them, I didn't see a problem in giving to a smaller baby rather than the items never getting used at all.
I think it's pretty common to regift baby items as everyone seems to end up with things they don't need.

I think it's perfectly fine! (to be fair, I sometimes regift things and don't feel bad)

i agree with @Smurfette: it's only regifting if you received it as a gift first. and that's okay too!

I wold, but I don't think re-gifting is bad either. If you actually think the person will like it, then what's the problem?

You paid for it! You can do what you want with it. That's totally not a re-gift.

nope! You bought it yourself! I only count it as re-gifting if it was given to you and u just passed it on cuz u didn't like it.

i have no problem regifting and think that it's perfectly fine as long as it isn't used! we got some things from out shower with no receipts, so i didn't know where to take them back....i may have gifted them out to 3 different people at their showers...

If you bought it, then it wasn't a gift. Besides, if it's not used then who cares. Gift away!

Yeah, I agree with those that're saying if you bought it yourself it isn't regifting--especially if you think she'll love it. I say go for it!

I don't think re-gifting is bad, unless the item is personalized, used, or you accidentally give it to the gifter or someone the gifter knows.
But I also don't think this counts as re-gifting. You bought it.

I would consider it "re-gifting", but I don't think it's bad! It's new so why not!

Nothing wrong with that! If it's new and she would like it, go for it! I totally would.

I feel like "re-gifting" is more when someone gives it to you, and then you give it to someone else? But either way, I would totally do it.
