Thanks for the heads up! I just got a car in August with SiriusXM and I've never used it before. I listened to 90s on 9 all the way to work this morning, it's awesome!

@Shutterbug: usually you get it free for a while after you get the car! i wouldn't be surprised if you've had it all along
i think mine had it for the first 6 months, maybe even a year. i just couldn't justify paying for it when there's free radio or can plug in my iphone, but i do enjoy it when it's free!

Believe me, I checked! I agree about paying for it though... I already pay for Spotify so I will just enjoy it while it's free and then go back to my phone plugged in.

@Ash: I think this is for people who don't subscribe to XM and they are trying to entice people to sign up by previewing some channels.
I had XM subscription two years ago and I got an email advertising this free preview. They also have me a deal to come back.
ETA: Wait. When you say you have XM, are you saying you pay for it or your car is XM capable but it's not working? If you pay for it, this event really doesn't affect you. If XM still doesn't work, maybe there's something wrong with your connection or signal.

Are there specific channels? I've missed xm since my trial ended but I can't justify paying for it!

@bluestriped bee: We've found that they're very willing to give you a deal if you call and say you want to cancel or just plain want a better deal.

@spaniellove: Yeah, I think we did that once. The time we actually cancelled, we really had to cut off our spending a lot, so that was one of the things that had to go. I got an email saying they'll give me 6 months for $25. My DH is the one who really enjoys XM but the deal they gave me is based off the car I bought last year. I'll have to see if they have a good deal for two XM radios.
