what age did you start?
I know we are going to start library story time after our upcoming trip (gah we have been here and there and everywhere lately, so lo's activities keep getting pushed back) but when did you start bringing library books home? I'm too worried lo will break them so for now I pay for books.

We haven't yet, and she is 26 months. She still pretty rough with books and I'm afraid she will rip or otherwise ruin them. We usually get our books at used booksales.

I just borrowed my daughters first books, she's almost 11 months. I only borrowed board books so that she is less likely to mess them up, but she has finally stopped chewing on books, so the worst thing that can happen now is she bends a flap or steps on the book! She has been gentle so far

I think about 14 or 15 months? She does pretty well with them. We keep an eye on them too.

We started the day she was born. I am picky about books so I don't like to buy them until we've rented and are sure.

We started at about 3 years old. I'd just let him pick one book and we'd return it the next week at the next storytime.

We started around 6 months, I think? I like reading kids books. I didn't let her play with them, we just used them for story time.

About 9 months when we move to a place down the street from a library. She has a great personal library, but I love trying new books with her to find new faves! If you're nervous, you could always start with the board book section.
