If you could take your family on a cruise anywhere, where would you cruise to?
I think I'd do the Alaska cruise.

We were going to take a mediterranean / greek isles cruise if I didn't get pregnant with M right away...sigh...
ETA: Not that I'm complaining! I just wish we could have had the booby prize too

no interest in a cruise EXCEPT to antarctica because it's the only way to get there. man i want to see that ice!

Med! I'd love to go to Alaska, but I think I'd want to do a land tour. The whole Titanic, iceberg thing really kills the cruise to Alaska fun for me.

Antarctica would be my first choice, but Northern Europe would be nice too.

I don't really have any desire to cruise, except for a Greek Islands cruise!

We don't/won't cruise. Am I the only one who's heard of all these fires, engine shut downs, crashes and horrible gastroenteritis?

I'm not a cruiser either. I did two with my family growing up and that was more than enough for me.

@Mrs. Jacks: Ha! But once you go on an AWESOME cruise, you'll be hooked and convinced that it will never happen to you.
I think cruising is perfect for the Caribbean / Bahamas. I think in the Med I would want more time in port.

Not a cruise person at all - sounds like my idea of torture, but the one exception to that would be to depart from Ushuaia, Argentina, cross the Drake Passage, and cruise around Antarctica. That I could do. The rest of the cruises in the world, no thank you.

@Mrs. Jacks: nope, you're not alone. Do you remember that cruise last year where the passengers had to sleep on the decks and poop in red baggies?? Yeah, that had me convinced cruising is not for me..

Can I be completely honest?
I refuse to cruise, for the most ridiculous reason...Titanic. I'm terrified I'll finally go on a cruise and will hit an iceberg and drown. So silly.
BUT if I could ever get over that (and all of the gross more recent problems) I'd love to go to Alaska, or the Mediterranean.

Not silly, it happened not too long ago where that Captain jumped ship.. He was the idiot who wanted to get close to the iceberg too as some sort of tribute.. He doesn't think he did anything wrong, but 32 people died because of his poor decisions.

I've done a Med and a California Coastal. If I was going to cruise again, maybe Caribbean? But would probably only do another if a group of people wanted to go that we really wanted to vacation with.

I've always wanted to go on a Disney cruise! I'd love to take the one to Europe.

@daniellemybelle: Agree with all your points!
Right now I"m dying to go to the Caribbean! The only other place I want to cruise to is the Greek Isles. I would love to see the islands but have no desire to see any other part of the country. Been there, done that, no thanks again.

@Mrs. Jacks: Oh I agree go on a great one and youll be hooked There will always be some unfortunate incidents in any kind of travel experience, any experience with many people in general but as a whole statistically ive read cruises are one if not the safest ways to travel in general.

Mediterranean, Greek islands... Maybe Alaska- but unlike my vacations to be warm!!

@Mrs. Jacks: There was an article in Time this week discussing how, despite some very high profile cruise issues lately, the cruise industry is actually expecting significant increases in travelers this year. Apparently many people are willing to take the chance, as long as the price is low enough.

I'm not really a cruise person. Granted, I've never been on one before, but they just are NOT my kind of vacation at all. But I'm also a weirdo that hates beach resorts, so what do I know.
But if I *had* to do a cruise, I'd do one of these: http://www.vikingrivercruises.com/

@Mrs. Jacks: Agreed I have no desire to cruise. I think I would do a 2-3 day one in Alaska maybe but I would be too scared to do an extended one!
