Most definitely! While it would definitely be harder with multiples, I would LOVE to have a boy/girl twin set! The one pregnancy part is what tempts me most! However, neither DH nor I have any twins in either of our families...

I think I'm undecided. I keep on thinking that I will have twins. (Twins run in my family, my brother and sister are twins, and my Great Grandma had 2 sets of twins!) I watched my mom raise my brother and sister, and it was hard with 2 of them. I'm sure I could handle it, but I think I would struggle. But I know that whatever I am blessed with when the time comes I will be able to handle it!

I wouldn't choose to have twins. One at a time is enough work. But if I had twins I'd be super excited about it! I could never not be excited about having babies

Do I have to carry them and/or birth them? Because that would be a big fat no.

We made decisions with our fertility treatments that gave us better odds of multiples, and are now expecting twins. We are completely thrilled as this was what we considered our "best case scenario". As long as all goes well, we will be able to complete our family in one fell swoop, rather than all the waiting and wondering if we'll ever be able to get pg again.

Sure I'm nervous about taking care of two babies at the same time, but we're lucky that my hubby has a good job, I can stay home, and we have family nearby to help. Honestly, right now, my biggest concern is preterm birth and all the potential complications. I want them to bake as long as possible so they come out healthy and chubby

I used to, but now, not so much. I'm a preschool teacher and for awhile I substituted at a daycare in the infant room. I had a set of twins about 3 months old. Oh my goodness, so exausting! But then again I also had a few other babies to take care of as well.

Also, I'm 5'0" tall, so I'm sure it wouldn't be comfortable at all!

Yes! We're only doing this once, so if there was a chance to have a two-fer, I'd totally do it. Yes, it would cost a lot more and daycare would be a nightmare but we would make it work!

I don't think I would. =\ My sister is due with twins and is stressing out like crazy. She already has one 3 year old and only wanted to add one more to her family. Now that she's expecting 2 more, she's freaking out. Deep inside I'm sure she's happy and is praying for healthy babies. But I could tell she only wanted one.

I think the cost of it all would make me want to say NO, if not for the cost of daycare and what not then I would say yes. Multiples run in both sides of our families. (his more)

If we owned a bigger house and lived in a more affordable area, I would definitely want twins. But since money will be tight for us, I would prefer one at a time. I feel like with twins I would definitely need help almost at all times which is a lot of extra expense. But with one, although not easy, it would be more possible to do it on our own.

Nope. I want a natural childbirth, and would prefer caring for one kid in diapers at a time.

@yoursilverlining: Ditto! I don't like being pregnant so being done after one go-round would be great! But 2x the expenses for everything else...oh boy, no way!

Sure I would! The only thing that gives me pause is how wrecked my body would get from carrying two babies at the same time. But otherwise I'd love to be able to get through the hardest parts of child-rearing all at once instead of having to repeat the exact same cycles at different times.

I'm of the mind that I'd rather have our future children seperately than as multiples. DH's older brothers were twins and grew up with a pretty poor relationship (maybe it's the boy-boy dynamic!).

However if you asked DH, he's be more than happy to have twins as he's pretty good at disregarding the bad (i.e., we'd have to live on one income because the daycare for two infants would eat up my salary) for the awesome.

BEFORE I was pregnant and gave birth, I said yes. Now, there's no way in hades I'd do it times two.LOL

I really wanted boy/girl twins a few years ago...but then the hubs reminded me how crazy hard it was for his stepbrother and wife when they had their twins...so I've revised my ideal plan : first birth: one baby, 2nd birth: fraternal twins. That would be amazing.

Yes I think I would, however only my first go around so I would have nothing to compare it too. My cousin is pregnant now with twins (first set ever in our family) and she is having a boy and girl. I think that would be prefect, if I were to have twins too they would be only 6 months apart! haha but either way my baby will have a playmate of their gender which is nice!
